In its most recent game, Concord put a Division II program-record 122 points on the board in a 122-112 win over West Virginia State. To go with the near 88 points per game, CU is shooting 49.9 percent on the season which ranks seventh in Division II. The Maroon and Gray shot 61.7 percent in the victory at WVSU, which is the fourth highest in a single game in Division II this season. Additionally, Concord's 122 points are the third most in a game in 2019-20. Senior forward
Madison May led the way as she poured in a career-best 38 points on 15-for-24 shooting while adding her fourth double-double of the season by pulling down 13 rebounds. Junior forward

BEST OF THE BEST
Concord, Notre Dame and Urbana are three of the last four teams that are undefeated in conference play with Fairmont State being the fourth. UU comes especially as a surprise to its fast start to the season as the Blue Knights are already half way to their MEC win total from the 2018-19. Concord has played in two games decided by 10 points or less with victories over Charleston and West Virginia State. Meanwhile, NDC has been convincing in its two wins over Wheeling (82-68) and West Liberty (84-69). The Falcons will have a tough home test Wednesday against defending MEC regular season and tournament champion Glenville State before coming to Athens Saturday.
NEAR THE TOP
To start the week, May ranks fourth in Division II in scoring at 24.7 points per game, and is the only player in the MEC averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists per game. Fitzwater, meanwhile, is first in Division II in field goal percentage (73.8 / 45-for-61) and is second in blocks per game (5.1). To take it a step further, Fitzwater's 68.9 career field goal percentage is the best among active players in any Division of NCAA Women's Basketball, and is four points higher than second place Ruthy Hebard of Oregon.
BALANCING ACT
In Concord's 122-point outburst against West Virginia State, five players finished in double figures. Along with Fitzwater, Guynn and May, sophomore guard
Gracie Robinson scored a career-best 12 points while junior forward
Tamra Scott came off the bench to net 10 points with eight coming in the third quarter alone. It was the second time this season CU has had five players score in double figures with the other coming against Lock Haven in an 86-60 win.
DOWN TO THE WIRE
All four games last season with both Notre Dame and Urbana weren't decided until the final moments or into overtime. The Mountain Lions needed overtime to defeat Urbana at home last season while squeezing out a 59-54 win on the road over the Blue Knights as UU held Concord to a season low in points. Against Notre Dame, CU needed late surges to get past the Falcons. Tied at 71-71 with 4:26 left in the home contest, Concord outscored NDC 17-10 over the final four minutes to earn an 88-81 win. A similar score line happened at Notre Dame. Concord was tied 69-69 with NDC with 3:53 remaining before the Mountain Lions surged to finish the game on a 16-9 run to win 85-76. In her career, Fitzwater is averaging 22.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game against Notre Dame.

The Falcons rank second in the MEC in field goal defense, holding opponents to 38.3 percent shooting while CU is first at 37.0 percent.
