th nationally. Her 12 assists were tied for seventh in Division II, and Foster's 16 goals were tied for 20
th in the country. Over the final 15 games of the season, Foster record at least one point in 13 of those contests as the Mountain Lions ripped off 14 consecutive wins before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Foster notched two hat tricks during the season, and had a point in all but four of CU's 21 games. Foster finishes her sophomore season with 68 career points at Concord which already ranks seventh in program history.
Kontio is named an All-American after not being selected to any postseason awards prior to this season. The Vantaa, Finland native scored 11 goals and had three assists after scoring just eight goals and dishing out two assists in her first two seasons combined. Among Division II midfielders, Kontio ranked in a tie for sixth in goals. She helped pace the potent Concord offense during the month of October as she scored nine of 11 goals and recorded two assists during a seven-game span that saw her score at least one goal from October 9-30. The final two games of the scoring streak included four total goals.
Foster and Kontio were part of the third-best offense in Division II during the fall as the Mountain Lions scored 70 goals, which was also a Mountain East Conference single-season record.
Additionally, the pair were the only representatives of the MEC on the D2CCA All-American Teams, and just two of five players from the Atlantic Region.
Grand Valley State's Riko Sagara was voted as the Ron Lenz D2CCA National Player of the Year.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three D2CCA All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. A total of 39 student-athletes representing 22 different institutions filled out the three teams.
