RECORDS
Concord is coming off a school record 23-7 season that saw CU make the MEC Tournament Semifinals for the first time in program history.
Seton Hill posted a mark of 19-11 in 2018-19.
Lock Haven finished last season one game above .500 with a record of 15-14.
A SEASON TO REMEMBER
The 23-win season last year was just the fourth 20-win season for the CU women's basketball program and the first since 2011-12. Coupled with the men's basketball team, Concord was one of three MEC schools to post 20 wins for both basketball teams along with Charleston and West Liberty. Also to put in perspective just how much the Mountain Lions have progressed. CU has gone from seven wins in 2016-17 to 13 wins in 2017-18 to the school record last season. Concord's +10-win differential from 2017-18 to 2018-19 was tied for second best in the Atlantic Region behind only Charleston's +12 turnaround.
RETURNING LEADERS
Part of CU's success last season was the play of junior forward
Riley Fitzwater and senior forward
Madison May. May went over 1,000 career points and sits 15
th in all-time scoring at Concord with 1,117 points and needs just 57 points to climb into the top 10 in scoring at CU. Among returning players in the MEC, May is the second-leading scoring (18.6 points per game), fourth in rebounds (8.1), fifth in assists (3.4). Last season, May also lived at the foul line as her 240 free throw attempts were 71 more than second place in the MEC. As for Fitzwater, she led NCAA Division II in blocks shots per game with 4.1. Her 241 career blocks are third most among active Division II players. For a second straight season, Fitzwater also averaged a double-double with 12.7 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game.
BENCH BOOST
Sophomore guard
Maggie Guynn proved to be a pivotal weapon off the bench for the Mountain Lions last season as she came off the bench in all 30 appearances while averaging 8.6 points per game that included scoring double figures in 14 games. Guynn led all players in the MEC that did not start a single game last season in scoring. The next closest was Urbana's Kami McEldowney who scored 4.4 points per game in 26 appearances off the bench. Junior forward
Tamra Scott was a key contributor off the bench
last season as she posted two double-doubles while averaging 5.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.
INTO THE RECORDS
Fitzwater starts the season needing 229 points to eclipse 1,000 for her career. When Fitzwater reaches the milestone, it will be the first time 1,000-point scorers played on the same CU team since
Camisha Alexander and
Jolysa Brown during the 2011-12 season. Fitzwater has 660 career rebounds and needs just 69 rebounds to move into the top five all-time at Concord. As May continues to track towards the top 10 in all-time scoring, she's also continuing her ascent towards the top 10 in all-time rebounds. May starts the year with 526 career rebounds and needs 11 rebounds to move past 2019 Concord Hall of Famer Jamie Cluesman for 10
th.
SEEING DOUBLE
In six career games inside Joe Retton Arena, Fitzwater has excelled posting five double-doubles while averaging 14.6 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. Last season against Lock Haven, Fitzwater had one of her five career 20-rebound games as part of 14-point, 21-rebound performance. She started her Concord career by going for 20 points and 13 rebounds against Clarion before notching 10 points and 10 rebounds versus Lock Haven in the MEC-PSAC Challenge in November 2017.
ON THE DEFENSE
Last season, Concord proved to be the toughest defense to score against as it limited opponents to 38.2 percent shooting—the best in the MEC in field goal defense. In the MEC-PSAC Challenge, the Mountain Lions limited Lock Haven to 41.1 percent shooting before holding Seton Hill to 34.9 percent shooting. CU also came away with 15 combined steals in the two games. Junior guard
Keely Lundy led a seven-steal effort with three steals versus LHU. Sophomore guard
Gracie Robinson had two steals against Seton Hill in the 81-73 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
13- Concord won 13 games away from home last season.
20- May has 20, 20-point games in her career including 20-point efforts against both Lock Haven and Seton Hill last season.

LOCK HAVEN AT A GLANCE
Like Concord, LHU saw a 10-win improvement last season after winning five games the previous year. Last year was also the Bald Eagles first winning season this decade. The top four scorers for Lock Haven return from last year led by double-figure scorers Ahnera Parker (13.4 points per game) and Rileigh Devine (12.2 points per game). Bink Redman just missed averaging a double-double last season with 8.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Last season, Lock Haven forced CU into 20 turnovers in a 73-66 win.
SETON HILL AT A GLANCE
The Griffins return one double-figure scorer from last season in Cheyenne Trest (12.0 points per game) while Lexi Civottolo just missed averaging 10 points per game (9.9). Last season, Seton Hill had 11 games decided by 10 points or less. And four of the 11 losses for SHU came against either California (Pa.) or Indiana (Pa.) who were both nationally-ranked. Against CU last season, Trest had 11 points, but was held to 5-of-13 shooting.
