ELKINS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team lost 2-1 to Davis & Elkins Wednesday night in a Mountain East Conference contest at Nuttall Field.
The Mountain Lions (2-8-2, 1-8-2 MEC) were able to answer an own goal in the fourth minute of the game with a score in the 53
rd minute. However, Davis & Elkins (6-6, 5-6 MEC) took the lead with a goal in the 79
thminute.
Senior midfielder
Maxime Ramioulle tallied his fourth goal of the season as he blasted a shot into the back of the net right after halftime to the game with the Senators. Assisting on Ramioulle's goal was sophomore midfielder
Diego Marti Perez and senior midfielder
Jacob Miller.
For Perez, it was his second straight game with an assist while Miller picked up his first point of the season.
The Senators had a 12-6 advantage in total shots and edged CU in shots on goal, 4-2. Senior forward
Max Suckel came off the bench to register a shot on goal.
Making his first career start in goal, freshman goalkeeper
Barett Schultz made three saves.
Concord plays host to West Liberty 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
