PIPESTEM, W.Va. – The Concord University men's cross country team won the Concord Alumni Meet Friday afternoon at Pipestem Resort State Park.
The Mountain Lions scored 36 points, 13 better than Ohio Valley, to win their meet of the season ahead of next Saturday's Mountain East Conference Championship.

Cedric Drennen was the lone Concord runner to finish in the top 10 as he clocked a time of 28:17. Fellow sophomore
Isaac Prather was closely behind as he finished three second back of Drennen, and in 11
th.
Junior
Andrew Barbera (14
th) and freshman
Nate Leichner (15
th) rounded out the top 15 with both running 28:33 for the 8,000-meter course. Senior
Cooper Brady rounded out the scoring runner for CU as he crossed in 29:02 to finish 17
th.

Samuel Thomas was two seconds behind Cooper as he finished 18
th. Freshman
John Casey just missed a top-20 finish as he came through in 29:15 and placed 21
st.

Alex Watty finished 24
th as he clocked a time of 29:47 while fellow freshman
Jacob Lindsay ran 30:48 to finish 27
th.
The MEC Championship will be contested at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia with the race starting at 10:30.
