WHEELING, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team lost 2-1 to Wheeling Saturday night in Mountain East Conference action at Bishop Schmitt Field.
Concord (2-5-2, 1-5-2 MEC) was unable to hold on to an early 1-0 lead as the Cardinals (2-8, 1-7 MEC) scored the final two goals.

Maxime Ramioulle took a pass from junior defender
Bruno Baptista in the 12
th minute and fired a shot from 30 yards away past WU goalkeeper Josh Zimmerman to give the Mountain Lions a 1-0 lead.
Baptista and Ramioulle led the charge for the Mountain Lions for the remainder of the half as each had two shots on goal, but Zimmerman saved all four attempts to keep the CU lead at one at halftime.
Junior goalkeeper
Kyle Brown made a save in the 53
rd minute to keep Wheeling off the board, but the Cardinals tied the game with a goal in the 68
th minute. Ten minutes later, WU broke the tie with a goal to go up 2-1.
In the 87
th minute, Wheeling was forced to play a man down after two yellow cards. However, Concord was unable to capitalize on the brief man advantage. Baptista had a shot go high with less than two minutes left in regulation as the Cardinals held off the Mountain Lions.
Baptista had a game-high six shots. CU had 11 as a team.
Brown made five saves in the contest.
Concord makes another road trip, this time to Frostburg State 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
