WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The Concord University football team lost to West Liberty, 47-6, Saturday afternoon at West Family Stadium in a Mountain East Conference game.
The Hilltoppers (3-3, 3-3 MEC) opened up a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 30-0 at halftime.

Brandon Plyler caught a third-quarter touchdown from senior quarterback
Kyle Akin that made the score 44-6.
Akin finished the game with 187 yards passing and a touchdown, but also three interceptions. Junior wide receiver
Tywan Pearce had 100 yards receiving for the second straight week as he made four receptions for 100 yards.

Imani Moore had a team-best seven tackles including a tackle for loss. Sophomore linebacker
Tylen Fowler and junior linebacker
Dwain Porterfield each had six tackles.
Concord (0-6, 0-5 MEC) welcomes Fairmont State to Callaghan Stadium for Homecoming next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
