RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 10-5 this season and have a Mountain East Conference record of 6-4.

Charleston is also 6-4 in the league this season, and has an overall mark of 11-5.

Meanwhile, UVa.-Wise is 5-10 on the year and 3-7 versus league teams.

WORKING OVERTIME
The Mountain Lions played their third overtime game of the season by playing two extra sessions versus WLU. It was the first Concord game to go two or more overtimes since Concord's double overtime win against West Liberty in the 2016 MEC Tournament Semifinals. In his three seasons as head coach, Todd May's Mountain Lions have played five overtime games. CU is 2-3 in those contests including a 1-2 mark this season. In all other conference games this season, there's been three overtime games not involving Concord, and two of those have involved Charleston—Charleston at Fairmont State, Notre Dame at Charleston and Glenville State at Urbana.

LIGHTNING BOLTE
Against West Liberty, senior guard Tommy Bolte had 41 points, eight rebounds, six assists and a career-best five steals. What is most impressive about Bolte's line was how he got to 41 points. At the 3:30 mark of regulation, Bolte had just 14 points in the game. Over the last 13:30 of the contest—including both overtimes—the Chillicothe, Ohio native scored 27 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the floor, went 10-of-10 at the foul line and connected on his only three-point attempt. Additionally, Bolte forced the first overtime by getting from halfcourt to the basket in just 3.7 seconds for the game-tying layup. Over the final 13:30, Bolte also picked three of his five steals. Saturday's performance was similar to what he did at Charleston last season when he had 18 points in the final 7:49 of the contest in a 77-72 CU win.

STRETCH FOURS
From his power forward position, sophomore David Bea Mulumba had quite a road trip against Wheeling Jesuit and West Liberty. At Wheeling Jesuit, Mulumba recorded his second double-double of the season as he went for 20 points and 10 rebounds, including knocking in a career-best six three-pointers on eight attempts. In the second game of the road swing, the Antwerp, Belgium native scored a personal-high 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting while playing a career-high 48 minutes. Only Bolte (eight straight) and junior guard Jair Rodgers (three consecutive) have more than two consecutive 20-point games this season. And prior to playing 48 minutes at WLU, Mulumba's career high in minutes were 31—at Wheeling Jesuit. Mulumba and sophomore guard/forward Malik Johnson have split time at the four position this season, and Johnson's best career game came in Concord's 106-100 overtime victory over UC. The Wytheville, Virginia native tallied a career-best 20 points on 7-for-8 shooting including a perfect 5-for-5 showing from three-point distance.

DIFFERING SYSTEMS
Concord and Charleston are very similar in terms of points per game and points per game allowed. UC is scoring 89.8 points per game, third in the MEC, while the Mountain Lions are just behind at 87.1 points per game. Charleston gives up 80.5 points per contest with CU allowing 81.8 points per game. Offensively, though, both teams find different ways to score. The Golden Eagles are one of two teams in the MEC shooting over 50 percent (54.7) and have two inside players that shoot over 65 percent: Lamont McManus (66.4 percent) and Devon Robinson (65.7 percent). With the inside attack, Charleston is last in the MEC in made three-pointers per game (6.8). Concord has a contrasting style with multiple jump shooters on the floor at a time. CU is tied for 11th in Division II in made three-pointers per game (11.5). Over the last two games, the Mountain Lions have made 30 three-pointers including 17 at Wheeling Jesuit—the most for CU in over two years. Concord is shooting the three-point ball at a 39.2 percent clip this season while UC is one of two teams in the MEC to allow the opposition to make over 40 percent of three-pointers.

THREE-POINT SHOOTING
On Saturday, Concord will face the MEC's best three-point defense in UVa.-Wise. The Cavaliers are the only team in the league holding opponents to less than 30 percent from behind the arc (29.4). Additionally, UVa.-Wise has only allowed double-digit three-pointers to six of 15 opponents this season. But, the Mountain Lions have hit at least 13 three-pointers in six of their last eight games, including the season-best outing at Wheeling Jesuit. Rodgers leads Division II in three-pointers made per game (4.3) while Mulumba has made 11-of-17 three-point attempts in the last three games. Freshman guard Brandon Kennedy was  just as effective with five three-pointers in 10 attempts during the two-game road trip.
