Salem enters the game with a mark of 2-10 this season.

RAINING IN THE THREE BALL
Concord finished up the 2018 calendar year with a 66-60 win over Davis & Elkins on December 19. Senior guard Andreanna Pool led the scoring for CU with 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting and 5-for-9 from three-point range. It was the second time this season that Pool has hit five three-pointers in game after five three-pointers at Bluefield State November 13. It marks the second straight season that a Concord player has hit five three-pointers in a game after Danielle Catron connected on five three-pointers against Bluefield State twice.

10-GAME STRETCH
By downing Davis & Elkins prior to the Christmas Break, the Maroon and Gray picked up their seventh win in 10 tries in 2018-19. It marked the best 10-game start to a season for a CU team since the 2011-12 team went 9-1 in their first 10 games. Last season, Concord did not pick up its seventh win until January 15 and the eighth win did not come until January 18. Additionally, the Mountain Lions are going for their third consecutive win which would be the second streak of three wins this season after CU won four straight from November 10-19.

LOCK DOWN
Concord held Davis & Elkins to 29.4 percent (20-for-68) shooting as it edged out the six-point win. It was the third time this season that CU held an opponent to 30 percent or less shooting in a game. The Mountain Lions also held West Virginia Wesleyan to 30.9 percent shooting in its previous game, marking the first time since before 2011-12 season that Concord has held an opponent to 30 percent or less shooting in back-to-back games. Sophomore forward Riley Fitzwater and junior forward Madison May helped lock down Davis & Elkins by recording four blocks each. For May, it was a season high in blocks. And Concord allowed just 20 points int the paint against Davis & Elkins.

RESERVATIONS
To help the Concord scoring against the Senators, sophomore guard Savannah Dunford came off the bench to post nine points on three made three-pointers in a career-high 22 minutes of action. The nine points were also a career best for the Max Meadows, Virginia native. Meanwhile, freshman forward Maggie Guynn went for eight points in 20 minutes of action. Dunford and Guynn went for 17 of CU's 19 bench points which were the second-most bench points scored by the Mountain Lions in a game this season.

NON-CONFERENCE BATTLE
The Mountain Lions are going for their fourth non-conference win of the season after going 4-3 versus non-Mountain East Conference competition last season. One of those wins was an 81-61 road win over Salem. The win gave CU a slight 9-8 series advantage over the Tigers since the 1994-95 season. May tallied 11 points and nine rebounds in the win last season while Fitzwater narrowly missed her own double-double with eight points and 12 rebounds.

BALANCING ACT
Part of the reason for the Concord road win at Salem last season was 29 bench points to SU's six. Though with just three players in double figures, the Mountain Lions had seven different players score at least six points in the contest. Over the last four games for Concord, all nine players in CU's main rotation have scored at least six points in a game at least once. Over that same span, the Maroon and Gray is averaging 17.5 points per game from its bench.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
3- Number of three-pointers made by Pool in the previous four games before hitting on five triples against Davis & Elkins.

11- Season high in made three-pointers by Concord against Davis & Elkins including eight combined from Dunford and Pool.

27.6- Three-point percentage (7-for-26) that CU limited Salem to last season in its win.

SALEM AT A GLANCE
Both of Salem's win came in back-to-back games November 28 and December 5 against Mansfield and Pitt-Johnstown. But Salem comes into the contest having lost three straight games to mutual opponents Seton Hill, Fairmont State and Charleston. Nia Bishop leads four Tigers in double figures at 13.8 points per game. Alicia Smith scores 13.6 points per game while Endia Jones is averaging 10.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. Former Glenville State assistant Cody Gilmore is in his first season coaching the Tigers.
