BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team was edged by Notre Dame, 1-0, Sunday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference matchup at the Cline Complex.
The game's lone goal came in the 71st minute as NDC (4-4, 4-1 MEC) forced a Concord (5-3-1, 3-2 MEC) turnover deep in the defensive end. Notre Dame's Na'pier Ramsey dribbled through the penalty box, and found Isabel Sentle who fended off a CU defender for the score.

Ali Cook had shots blocked in the 74th and 75th minutes. Â The final opportunity for the Maroon and Gray came after a corner kick when sophomore defender
Alyssa Mahar had a shot blocked away from the goal in the 84th minute.
In the first half, sophomore midfielder
Yasmin Mosby had a chance to put the Mountain Lions ahead in the 29th minute as her rising shot was tipped over the crossbar by Notre Dame goalkeeper Kyra McDowell.
CU outshot NDC in total shots (14-9), but the Falcons held a 4-2 edge in shots on goal.

Courtney Wallace were responsible for the shots on target for Concord.
