ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach
Mike Cox has announced the hiring of
Harry Adams to his staff.
Adams joins
R.J. Anderson as an assistant coach for the Mountain Lions in 2018-19. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native was a four-time All-American at Auburn University in track and field. In 2011, Adams was the SEC Indoor Track and Field Champion in the 60-meter dash. A year later, Adams set the Auburn school record in the 100-meter dash at 9.96 seconds—a record he still holds. With his time at the 2012 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Adams was the 81
st person to break 10 seconds in the 100-meters.
In addition to being a star on the oval for the Tigers, Adams was also a member of the Auburn football team from 2008 to 2009.
Before coming to Concord to gain collegiate coaching experience, Adams was a high school track and field coach in Florida. The former national-class sprinter will study in CU's health promotion master's program in addition to his coaching duties.
