RECORDS
Concord is 21-17 this season and 14-10 against Mountain East Conference teams.

UC comes to Concord with a record of 26-16 overall and 18-6 in the MEC.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
The Mountain Lions have won four of their last five games including winning their series against Glenville State 3-1 and taking a mid-week contest from Ohio Valley, 6-2.

CU has collected double-digit hits in five straight games and in six of its last seven games. Concord has raised its team batting average from .301 to .310.

The last time the Mountain Lions tallied 10 or more hits in five straight games was the last five games of the 2016 season.

Sophomore infielder Jakob Divers has raised his average from .264 to .313 in the last five games including recording back-to-back multi-hit games in the series finale versus Glenville State and against Ohio Valley.

The Moneta, Virginia native blasted his first career home run on Wednesday—a three-run shot—to open up the scoring for the Mountain Lions.

Junior outfielder Evan Webb has seen his average rise nearly 40 points from .297 to .333 in the last five games. Webb started the Glenville State by going 6-for-6 in the first two games.

Additionally, Webb ranks fourth in the MEC in RBI with 36 entering the weekend.

Over the weekend, senior infielder Chad Frazier entered the top 10 in career hits at CU. The Roanoke, Virginia native has 216 career hits and needs three to move past ninth place, Greyson Schram and eighth place, Joe Besl on the career list at Concord.

By driving in three runs in the GSC series, junior catcher / outfielder Jordan Clark moved into ninth place in the career RBI list at Concord with 142. Furthermore, Clark launched his 23rd career home run versus Glenville State to place him in a tie for seventh with Ryan Johnston and Brooks Cullen on the program's home run list.

Junior pitcher Troy Beckner continued his success versus MEC hitting this season. The southpaw allowed two runs and struck out eight versus GSC to improve his record to 7-3 in 2018. Beckner has only given up more than two runs once in a conference start this season as he has a 5-1 record and 1.89 ERA versus MEC teams.

As a collective group, CU's pitching staff of seven allowed just four hits in the Mountain Lions' victory over Ohio Valley.

In his first career start, sophomore pitcher Bryson Booher tied his career high with three strikeouts in three innings as he faced the minimum. Junior pitcher Noah Tucker--in the seventh--and sophomore outfielder Adam Linkous—in the ninth—also faced the minimum in their relief appearances.

Concord has allowed fewer than five hits on six different occasions this season, and the last time it accomplished the feat was during Beckner's start at Notre Dame in an 11-5 win when Beckner and sophomore pitcher Cody Dooley allowed four hits.

Last season, Charleston won four of the five meetings with CU including an elimination game at the MEC Tournament.

Dooley picked up a win in relief in the regular season series finale as the Mountain Lions won 6-4.

Clark and sophomore infielder Nathan Neff paced the offense at Charleston last season. Clark had five hits—three for extra bases and four RBI. Neff went 4-for-10 in the four-game set and was on base nine total times.

CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
The Golden Eagles lead the MEC South by four games over Concord.

Charleston has played just 13 games away from its two home fields, Triana Field and Appalachian Power Park. UC is 4-9 on the road this season, and has played just one road series since the end of March, at Glenville State.

Gianfranco Morello is tied with Webb in RBI in the league to go along with a .325 average. Lewisburg, West Virginia native Colby Johnson is the team leader in batting average (.361) and home runs (seven).

Adam Jafine, who shutout Concord in the MEC Tournament in 2017, has not lost a conference start this season. Jafine is 5-0 with 39 strikeouts in 32.1 innings in six MEC games.
