RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 4-5 after losing a doubleheader to Ohio Valley last weekend.

Lake Erie visits Concord with a mark of 1-6-1. The tie came in a 14-14 game against Mars Hill.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU lost 5-3 and 9-5 to Ohio Valley as the Fighting Scots erased two early leads by Concord to take the twinbill in Athens.

In game two of the doubleheader, freshman utility Anthony Stehlin received a no decision as the starting pitcher, but recorded a career-best nine strikeouts in six innings of work.

Coming into the game, Stehlin had just eight strike outs in three previous starts that covered 16 innings.

As a pitching staff, Concord struck out 20 OVU batters in the doubleheader.

In addition to Stehlin's performance, junior pitcher Troy Beckner fanned six hitters in his game one start. Junior pitcher Will Guay came out of the bullpen to punch out four hitters.

Additionally, freshman pitcher Logan Morrison had a strike out in his relief work in game two.

As a pitching staff, Concord has 75 strikeouts in 68 innings.

In game one versus Ohio Valley, senior infielder Chad Frazier recorded an RBI triple that scored sophomore infielder Nathan Neff.

The triple was Frazier's 13th career, tying him for second in program history with Josh Wanger. The all-time leader in triples at Concord is Rob Annicelli who had 19 from 1996-99.

Also in game one, sophomore infielder Jakob Divers came up with a pinch hit to score senior catcher Paul Williams. It was Divers' second pinch hit in the early season.

Friday will be the second straight season, the Mountain Lions welcome Lake Erie to Anderson Field.

Last year, CU won the final two games of a three-game series—both in walk-off fashion.

Divers had the winning RBI in the middle game of the series as Frazier raced home on Divers' sacrifice fly to give the Mountain Lions a 12-11 win.

Williams provided the game-winning hit in the finale of the series as he punched a single through the right side of the infield to plate sophomore outfielder Ryan Fralin.

In last year's series versus LEC, Frazier had three multi-hit games as he went 6-for-11 at the plate with two RBI, a double and a triple.

Williams started the series 0-for-3, but finished 5-for-9 in the final two games with three RBI and two doubles.

Junior infielder Trevor Wiersma hit .400 (4-for-10) in three games against the Storm. Wiersma recorded four RBI and a double in the series.

Last year was the only previous meeting between the two schools.

LAKE ERIE AT A GLANCE
Lake Erie's tie with Mars Hill was due to the game reaching the top of the 11th inning, and becoming too dark to play.

The lone win for the Storm came in a three-game series against Millersville.

Trace Peterson has paced the LEC offense early in the season with three home runs, seven RBI and a .367 batting average.

In two starts for Lake Erie, David Lemasters has 14 strikeouts in 10.2 innings and is limiting hitters to a .225 batting average.
