RECORDS
CU enters MEC play with a mark of 6-6 after winning two of three games against Lake Erie.

Wheeling Jesuit is 1-7 with its lone win coming against Findlay.

West Liberty sports a mark of 2-5 after winning its first two games of the season over St. Augustine's.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord evened its record by taking the final two games from Lake Erie, 11-6 and 8-2.

Senior catcher and reigning MEC Player of the Week Paul Williams paced the offensive effort for the Mountain Lions by batting .583 (7-for-12) in the three-game set with four runs scored and four RBI.

With his four RBI, Williams is second in the MEC in runs driven in this season as conference play gets underway.

In his first three starts of the season, sophomore infielder Jakob Divers had a stellar weekend with five hits including two doubles and five RBI. Of Divers' five hits, three came with runners in scoring position and the Moneta, Virginia native is now hitting .566 with runners in scoring position (5-for-9) this season.

Junior outfielder Evan Webb matched Divers with five RBI in the series, and added five total hits and five RBI. In game two of the series, Webb recorded three RBI—his first three-RBI game since May 5 last season against UVa.-Wise when the Whitby, Ontario native had five.

Sophomore outfielder Adam Linkous earned his first collegiate win on the mound for CU in game two versus Lake Erie. Linkous came out of the bullpen to provide three innings of the relief in which he surrendered just one hit and struck out three batters.

The effort by Linkous allowed the Concord offense to rally from a 6-3 deficit while the Blacksburg, Virginia native quieted it the Storm bats.
In the series finale, the Mountain Lions received a complete-game performance from freshman utility Anthony Stehlin. The Montclair, Virginia native tossed his second complete game in five collegiate starts. Stehlin allowed two runs on six hits.

Additionally, Stehlin has pitched at least five innings in all five starts this season, and his 29 innings pitched leads the MEC.

Though posting just three hits against LEC, senior infielder Chad Frazier scored seven runs in the series to assume the league lead with 17 runs scored in 2018.

Furthermore, Frazier also jumped into the top 10 in career runs scored at Concord. The Roanoke, Virginia native has 163 runs scored in his career, ninth most in program history.

Last season, the Mountain Lions split with West Liberty, winning 5-0 before falling 11-3. CU took both games from Wheeling Jesuit by scores of 11-7 and 12-2.

Junior pitcher Troy Beckner tossed a complete game in CU's 5-0 win over the Hilltoppers. Beckner scattered four hits and struck out four batters.

In Concord's offensive outburst against Wheeling Jesuit, sophomore infielder Nathan Neff was 6-for-10 in his only two career games versus WJU.

Junior infielder Trevor Wiersma was 2-for-5 in game one last season with a home run and four RBI.

Over his last four contests against Wheeling Jesuit, Williams is batting .500 (10-for-20).

Two years ago when the Mountain Lions hosted the two MEC schools from West Virginia's Northern Panhandle, CU went 2-2 as it won 12-7 over WLU and 19-4 over the Cardinals.

WHEELING JESUIT AT A GLANCE
Michael Finch has 12 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched and sports an ERA of 3.94.

Six of the eight games the Cardinals have played have been neutral site games with the only two true road games coming at Winston-Salem State.

Brad Trescott is batting .389 (7-for-18), but does not have an extra base hit this season.

WEST LIBERTY AT A GLANCE
Coby Eckstein is pacing the WLU offense with a .429 batting average to go along with three home runs and nine RBI.

Parker Dyson has struck out 17 batters in 11 innings pitched and has a 2.45 ERA.

Four of the five losses by West Liberty have come by four runs or less including a one-run loss and a two-run defeat.
