GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Concord University women's basketball team was downed 114-87 at Glenville State Wednesday night in Mountain East Conference play inside the Waco Center.
After Glenville State(7-1, 4-1 MEC) opened up a 31-15 lead through 10 minutes, CU (5-3, 3-2 MEC) came out hot in the second quarter. The Mountain Lions began the second period on a 13-0 run to climb back into the contest.

Madison May paced the spurt with six points while senior guard
Emily Boothe punctuated the run with a three-point play. The teams traded buckets on the next two possessions with CU's points coming from May. Down 33-30, the Mountain Lions watched GSC finish the half on a 23-13 run.
Out of halftime, the Pioneers steadily pulled away from Concord as they worked their advantage up to 79-52 with 4:34 left in the third quarter.
CU was unable to work the deficit back under 25 for the remainder of the contest.
May continued her hot streak as she poured in 28 points on 12-for-18 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds for her second straight double-double. Sophomore forward
Riley Fitzwater added her own double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Fitzwater went 7-for-8 from the floor.
Senior guard
Andreanna Pool scored 14 points.
The Mountain Lions will have an extended break as they will next play December 15 at home against West Virginia Wesleyan. The game will start at 2:00 p.m.
