ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University women's soccer team drew 1-1 with Charleston Sunday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference clash at Anderson Field.
The Golden Eagles (9-7-2, 8-3-2) set the tone early by scoring the first goal of the matchup in the eighth minute.

Elisha Robinson had a shot on goal nearing the last five minutes of the first half. Freshman defender
Leigh Wightman followed her efforts less than a minute later, but the Mountain Lions (10-4-3, 8-3-2) were able to hold the Golden Eagles at 1-0 into halftime intermission.
Concord began to pick up the pace in the second half. Sophomore midfielder
Yasmin Mosby had a shot on goal in the 62
nd minute.

Courtney Wallace was able to take the ball from deflection and find the net for Concord for the eighth time of this season to even the score at 1-1. Wallace has tallied at least one point in each of Concord's last seven game including five of the seven games with at least one goal.
Mosby attempted another shot on target in the 87
th minute of regulation.
Both teams played through double overtime and kept the draw.

Katie Maher kept the contest at a tie by tying her season high of eight saves. Five of those saves were made between both overtimes. Â
By tying, Concord will receive home field advantage of another meeting against Charleston beginning Mountain East Conference Tournament play 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Field. The winner of the game moves onto the MEC semifinals Friday. Â
