RECORDS
CU is 4-9-1 on the season and 4-7-1 in the MEC. The Mountain Lions have been eliminated from postseason consideration after a loss against Wheeling Jesuit Sunday.
Urbana enters the contest with a record of 7-5-3 in 2018 and is 6-3-3 versus conference foes.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Junior defender
Josh Sheffield found the back of the net for fourth time this season when he converted his third penalty kick of the season versus West Virginia Wesleyan in a 2-1 loss.
Sheffield's score against WVWC marks the second time in the last three seasons that a Concord defender has had at least four goals in a season.
Albeit in a loss, the 1-0 setback versus Wheeling Jesuit at Anderson Field on Sunday was the fifth time this season sophomore
Kyle Brown has allowed one goal or less in a start.
Brown has also gotten help from the Concord back line defense of senior
Xander Bailey, freshman
Bruno Baptista, freshman
Adrian Cabello, senior
Matt Henderson and Sheffield along the way for his work in the net.
By saving a total of 14 combined shots versus Wesleyan and WJU, Brown moved into third place on the all-time saves list at Concord with 121. The East Warren, Ohio native needs three more saves to move past Jamie Greenwood for second on the saves list at CU.
In Concord's earlier meeting this season with Urbana on September 5, Brown was in net for a 1-1 draw with the Blue Knights. In fact, the last three contests between the Mountain Lions and UU have gone to overtime.
Henderson scored his only goal of the season against the Blue Knights in the 1-1 tie.
Last season at Urbana, the teams combined for nine goals as Concord was edged in overtime 5-4. Sophomore midfielder
Maxime Ramioulle totaled three points in the game as he scored off a corner kick and also assisted on a goal in the 87th minute of the match.
Ramioulle begins the final week of the regular season tied for fifth in goals with seven in the MEC. Ramioulle is sixth in the league in points with 14 in 2018.
Bailey and sophomore midfielder
Moulay Hassani also had an assist in the contest at Urbana last year.
URBANA AT A GLANCE
Jasminko Dizdarevic has one more goal than Ramioulle this season with eight to lead the Blue Knights in scoring.
Jakob Henriksen has twice been named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week for his work in goal. Henriksen has four shutouts this season.
Urbana is 4-1-2 at home in 2018 with its only loss coming September 2 against Seton Hill.
