BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Concord University women's cross country team finished 11
th at the Paul Short Run Friday afternoon.
Freshman
Sydney Haynes was Concord's top runner in the race as she completed her first 6,000-meter race in 22:26—6:01 pace. Haynes was third overall individually.
Sophomore
Aidan Payton crossed the line in 40
th with a time of 23:43. Junior
Bailey Knowles finished in the top 75 in a field of 268. Knowles recorded a time of 24:11, good enough for 66
th.
The junior tandem of
Kaylin Kessinger (25:04) and
Karleigh Thompson (25:21) finished 105
th and 116
th, respectively.
CU scored 330 points to place 11
th.
Junior
Kenna Knowles ran 25:34, sophomore
Kate Golinsky clocked a time of 27:01 and junior
Catrina Russell ran 31:46.
The Mountain Lions will compete in its annual home meet—the Concord Alumni –next Saturday at Pipestem State Park.
