Concord heads into the matchups at 28-24 overall (17-11 Mountain East Conference)

Glenville State is 13-34 overall, and 7-21 in MEC contests.Â
WVWC is 38-6 overall, and 24-4 in Mountain East Conference play. Â
The Bobcats recently shuffled to the number eight ranking in the latest NFCA poll, and are riding a 13-game winning streak.Â

Senior shortstop
Alayna Furr broke the record for career hits in a career with a single in game two vs. UVa.-Wise on Wednesday for her 229
th career hit.Â
Â
The Lovettsville, Virginia native will also break another record with her next hit, as her single versus the Cavaliers was her 74
th hit of the season, tying her single-season record that she set in 2016.Â
Â
Senior outfielder
Lauren Lewis remains close behind Furr in career hits after notching two hits in the doubleheader against UVa.-Wise to move to 225 career hits. Â Â
Â
Lewis also ranks second in career RBI, and is currently first on the all-time runs scored list with 137.Â
Â
Furr sits behind Lewis in that category in second place with 134 runs scored to date. Â Â Â

With two more wins this season, the Mountain Lions would reach the 30-win mark for the fourth consecutive season under head coach
Alisa Tasler.Â

The 124 wins over the last four years to date are the most over a four-year span in Concord history.Â
Â
The Mountain Lions earned a critical split against West Virginia Wesleyan in Buckhannon, West Virginia last season after dropping game one to the Bobcats 13-5.Â

Sophomore pitcher/outfielder Beatty and Lewis each hit home runs in game one.Â
Â
In game two, a 5-4 win, the Mountain Lions trailed 4-0 after the first inning.
Junior third baseman
Alycea Watson started the Concord rally in the fourth inning on a two-RBI single that scored senior pitcher/outfielder
Sarah Herndon and
Kristen Rose.
Â
Lewis then added another run in the fifth on an RBI double that scored Furr before Herndon scored Lewis on a Fielder's choice.Â

Furr provided the game-winning RBI in the sixth inning on a single to third base that scored Watson and gave West Virginia Wesleyan just its third loss in 24 games at that point in the season.Â
Â
At Glenville State last season, the Mountain Lions earned a split with the Pioneers.Â
Â
CU took game one 9-0, but dropped game two 7-6.Â
Â
Herndon tossed a no-hitter to beat the Pioneers in game one, fanning five hitters while walking just one batter in five innings.Â
Notching two RBI in game one was sophomore infielder
Kylie Kent, who used a single to drive home Herndon and Rose. Furr also picked up two RBI in the win.Â
Â
Also tallying an RBI in the win was Lewis, Beatty, and sophomore outfielder
Lindsey Stahl.Â

Junior catcher/designated player
Nicole Neri hit a solo home run in game two, while Lewis picked up two more RBI.

Concord split with the Pioneers earlier this season, Watson, Furr, and freshman second baseman/shortstop
Jenna Witt each picking up RBI while Lewis drove in two runs in Concord's 5-1 game one win.

Herndon picked up her second win of the season in the circle in that game. Â Â

In game two, freshman pitcher/first baseman
Rachel Pritchard notched an RBI groundout, while freshman utility
Amber Stokes drove in two runs on an RBI single in the sixth inning to cut the deficit to 5-4, but the Pioneers held on for the one-run victory.    Â

The Mountain Lions played two close affairs with the Bobcats in Athens this season, falling 2-1 to WVWC in game one, and 10-7 in game two.Â
Â
Stahl stole home for Concord's only run in game one in the bottom of the seventh inning.Â
Â
In game two, Concord once again found itself in an early deficit against the Bobcats, trailing 7-0 in the second inning.Â
Â
However, Concord had shown signs of being able to come back late earlier in the season as the Mountain Lions trailed 6-0 after five innings against West Virginia State just five days earlier before coming back to win 8-7 in walk-off fashion.Â
Â
Concord threatened to come back again against West Virginia Wesleyan, scoring seven unanswered runs after the Bobcats initial barrage to tie the game at seven in the third inning.Â

Freshman outfielder/pitcher
Darby Fitzpatrick got the scoring started with a two RBI single that plated senior third baseman
Courtney Purtell and senior pitcher
Allie Reid in the second inning.Â
Â
Concord grabbed two more runs in the third inning on RBI singles from Furr and Lewis before Witt smashed her second home run of the season over the left field fence to bring CU within one.
Â
Herndon used a sacrifice fly in the inning to score Purtell and tie the game at seven.Â
Â
The score remained tied at seven heading to extra innings before the Bobcats plated three runs to take a 10-7 win.  Â

Concord trails the all-time series record vs. Glenville State, owning a 13-14 record all-time against the Pioneers.Â
Â
Last year's win against West Virginia Wesleyan was Concord's third in 42 tries against the Bobcats.Â

SCOUTING GLENVILLE STATEÂ Â Â Â
Glenville State has lost six games in a row, but owns a 7-11 record at home compared to a 6-23 record away from Glenville. Â
The Pioneers are coming off of two losses to West Virginia Wesleyan at home.
Ally Brown has started 45 games for GSC, hitting .347 with 19 RBI. Brown also leads the team in earned run average, carrying a mark of 3.73.
McKenzie Smith has driven in 24 runs for the Pioneers.Â
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
The Bobcats have won 13 in a row, and are batting .335 as a team. Â
WVWC has lost just one game at home this season, a 3-1 decision to Charleston on April 14th.Â
Tori Pogue, Olivia Gore, Sara Scoone, and Morgan Bruce are each hitting .368 or higher with over 100 at-bats. Â
Bruce and Scoone have driven in 49 and 41 runs, respectively.Â
