ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University baseball team takes to the road after an 11-game home stand when it visits Mountain East Conference southern division foe Glenville State 1:00 p.m. Sunday and 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Sue Morris Sports Complex.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU is atop the MEC South Division with a 13-7 record in the MEC, and a 20-17 mark overall.
With two wins this weekend, head coach
Kevin Garrett will notch his 400
th career win becoming just the second MEC coach to eclipse 400 career wins.
Sophomore catcher
Jordan Clark earned MEC Player of the Week for a second straight week for his performance against West Virginia Wesleyan than saw the Scott Depot, West
Virginia native hit .769 (10-for-13) with three doubles, a triple and a grand slam while driving in 11 RBI against the Bobcats.
On Wednesday, Clark was tabbed as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association Atlantic Regional Hitter of the Week.
With 11 RBI, Clark took over the MEC lead in runs driven with 45. Sophomore outfielder outfielder
Evan Webb is second in the conference in RBI (41) and sophomore infielder
Trevor Wiersma occupies the third spot in RBI (40).
Meanwhile, junior infielder
Chad Frazier leads the conference in average (.436), runs scored (59), total hits (61) and triples (five). Additionally, Frazier is second in all of Division II in runs scored, just one run behind Lincoln Memorial's Logan Augustine.
The Mountain Lions own the highest batting average in the MEC with a .336 mark, and have raised their team batting average from .315 to .336 since the start of the month of April.
Concord ranks 10
th in Division II in batting average and is second in the Atlantic Region behind Mercyhurst.
Six different players are hitting at least .336 this season including Frazier (.436), Webb (.394), Clark (.369), Wiersma (.350), freshman infielder
Nathan Neff (..346) and junior catcher
Paul Williams (.341).
In five of the last eight conference games, Concord has 10 or more hits.
Freshman outfielder
Ryan Fralin made consecutive starts in the final two games of the games of the West Virginia Wesleyan series, going 7-for-10 at the plate.
The Roanoke, Virginia native recorded half of his season total in hits in the final two games of the Wesleyan series.
The 55 hits the Mountain Lions tallied in four games against Wesleyan was the most in a series since CU had 66 hits against Bluefield State in April 2013.
Senior pitcher
Nate Werner earned his 14
th career win as he tossed a complete game against WVWC in the final game of the four-game set.
Werner tied Chris Akers and Tyler Coyle for 10
th on the all-time wins list by scattering eight hits and two runs over seven innings while also fanning four batters.
This season, Concord has four players hitting .450 or better in MEC contests led by Clark with a mark of .516. Additionally, Frazier (.457) and Webb (.452) are also above the .450 mark in 20 conference games.
Entering the Glenville State series, freshman infielder
Nathan Neff has reached base in nine of his last 11 plate appearances including hitting first base in all six plate appearances in game four against WVWC. Neff went 2-for-2 with three walks and was hit by a pitch.
Last season, Concord and GSC split four games at Anderson Field with Glenville State winning the first two games before CU bounced back and won the final two contests.
In the final three games of the GSC series, Williams went 6-for-10 at the plate with five RBI and three extra-base hits including a home run.
Werner has tossed 15 innings in his career versus Glenville State, and has limited the Pioneers to nine hits and three runs to along with eight strikeouts.
Two seasons ago, Werner shutout the Pioneers for the first six innings, allowing two hits.
Junior pitcher
Reece Edwards earned a win last season against Glenville State as he gave up two unearned runs and five hits in seven innings.
Since the inception of the Glenville State baseball program in 2012, the Mountain Lions are 11-0 against the Pioneers in Glenville, West Virginia.
SCOUTING GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers are 11-23 overall this season and are tied for fifth in the MEC South with a mark of 8-12.
John Peloro is 12
th in the MEC in average this season (.362). Peloro is second in the league in doubles (12).
Tanner Helms is 4-3 on the mound for GSC with an ERA of 2.70 in 36.2 innings pitched.
Earlier this season, Glenville State handed the number-one ranked team in the nation, Mercyhurst, one of its two losses.
