Shepherd is 22-11 this season and currently leads the north division of the MEC with a 10-6 record.

Fairmont State is 13-21 this season and 6-10 in conference play.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Senior shortstop Alayna Furr has 65 hits this season to lead the Mountain East Conference, after picking up three more hits this past weekend.

The 65 hits also rank Furr in a tie for seventh in the country in hits for Division II.

The Lovettsville, Virginia native needs just 10 more hits to break her own single season record of 74 hits in a season, and nine more hits to break the all-time hits record at CU held by Alyssa Morris

Teammate and senior outfielder Lauren Lewis is also approaching the all-time hits and RBI record.

Lewis needs 15 more hits to pass Morris and 18 more RBI to break Morris's record in both categories.

Lewis's next double will tie her with Morris for the most in program history.

The Kearneysville, West Virginia native picked up six hits this weekend at West Liberty and Wheeling Jesuit, while teammate and sophomore outfielder/pitcher Abby Beatty notched eight hits, two in each game, against the Cardinals and Hilltoppers.

Beatty and Lewis each picked up multiple RBI games on the weekend to bring their season total to eight and seven games with multiple RBI this season, respectively.

Senior pitcher Allie Reid launched her second home run of the season and the fifth of her career to help Concord to a come-from-behind win over Wheeling Jesuit in game two this past weekend.

The Mountain Lions trailed 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning before Reid rocketed the home run to tie the game two.

Beatty later provided the game-winning run on an RBI single in the eighth inning to score junior outfielder/catcher Chelsea Shepherd to give Concord a 3-2 win.

The win was Concord's seventh when trailing in the fifth inning or later this season.

Reid also pitched a complete-game effort in the circle while striking out five Wheeling Jesuit batters and scattering seven hits.

Freshman pitcher/outfielder Darby Fitzpatrick is one of only two players in the Mountain East Conference this season to pitch a complete game of nine innings.

In the matchups versus the Rams in Shepherdstown, West Virginia last season, sophomore infielder Kylie Kent and Furr picked up two RBI in an 11-7 game one victory for CU.

Also picking up RBI in game one was senior pitcher/outfielder Sarah Herndon and sophomore first baseman Lauren Blunt

Herndon also picked up her 10th win of the season against the Rams, pitching in relief to earn the final four outs for the Mountain Lions.

In game two, Furr picked up just her second four-hit game of her career, going 4-for-5 from the plate and scoring three runs.

Lewis went 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Herndon and junior third baseman Alycea Watson each tallied an additional RBI as CU fell 6-5 in game two.

Concord is 7-1 against Shepherd since 2014.

At Fairmont last season, the Mountain Lions swept the Fighting Falcons by scores of 12-7 and 8-2.

The Mountain Lions, after leading 6-0 in the top of the first, trailed 7-6 after two innings. Six unanswered runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh by the Mountain Lions helped seal a 12-7 come-from-behind win.

In game one, Lewis tallied three hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Watson and Furr each had two hits in the 8-2 win.

Herndon picked up two wins in the circle in Fairmont, pitching 12.2 innings while striking out three batters including 5.2 innings of relief game two while allowing just two hits.

In game two, sophomore outfielder Lindsey Stahl provided a strong outing, going 3-for-4 from the plate with two RBI.  The Brownsburg, Indiana native hit her first two career home runs in back-to-back at-bats to help score the eventual go-ahead run.

Furr added two hits and two runs scored, while Lewis picked up two hits with an RBI. Blunt and Herndon each notched an RBI.

Concord has won five out of the last six against Fairmont State, outscoring FSU 44-12 over that time span.
