RECORDS
Concord, coming off of two wins on Monday against West Virginia State, is now 13-15 on the season.Â
West Virginia Wesleyan has won five straight games, sweeping Shepherd on Monday in two games to open Mountain East Conference play, and is 14-2 this season.
WVWC is 13
th in the latest NFCA poll.Â
Glenville State is 7-13 this season, having lost its last two games.Â
The Pioneers have gone 2-2Â in their opening four Mountain East Conference games, splitting with Shepherd and Fairmont State.Â

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Senior shortstop
Alayna Furr joined teammate and senior outfielder
Lauren Lewis in the 200-hit club on Monday after notching three hits in game two against West Virginia State.Â
Furr becomes the third person on the list behind
Alyssa Morris and Lewis, who eclipsed the mark earlier this season.
Furr currently sits one hit behind Lewis at 201 to Lewis's 202 career hits.Â
The Lovettsville, Virginia native is averaging 1.6 hits per game this season, compared to the 1.4 hits per game she averaged last season.Â
In 2016, Furr managed a Concord single-season record 74 hits.Â
Furr is currently on pace to shatter last season's total, with the senior shortstop on pace to pick up 92 hits at the halfway point of the regular season.Â
Lewis moved into first place on the all-time runs scored list, joining Angela Mazzella at the summit with 128 career runs scored.Â
Furr is five runs behind Lewis on the list with 123 career runs scored.Â
The Mountain Lions picked up back-to-back walk-off wins versus the Yellow Jackets on Monday, earning 4-3 and 8-7 wins over WVSU in dramatic fashion.Â
Despite accumulating three times as many hits as West Virginia State overall (12-4), the Mountain Lions trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning.Â
Sophomore infielder
Kylie Kent tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning after singling down the right field line to score freshman pitcher/outfielder
Darby Fitzpatrick, who led off the inning with her second career double.
The Mountain Lions took the lead for good in the bottom of the eighth inning after junior catcher/outfielder
Chelsea Shepherd lead off the inning with her first career hit, a single through the left side, before sophomore pitcher/outfielder
Abby Beatty brought home the Charles Town, West Virginia native from third on an RBI single through the left side.Â
The Mountain Lions found themselves down again in game two, with the Yellow Jackets taking a 6-0 lead after five innings.Â
Concord once again rallied with the assistance of Beatty in the bottom of the fifth. Beatty brought home Kent and senior third baseman
Courtney Purtell on a three-run home run to cut the deficit to 6-3.Â
The Mountain Lions picked up the remaining three runs needed to extend the game in the bottom of the seventh after Beatty picked up a triple to score sophomore outfielder
Lindsey Stahl and Furr.Â
Senior pitcher
Allie Reid tied the game for Concord on a single to score Beatty from third.Â
After Concord trailed 7-6 in the top of the ninth, the Mountain Lions won the game again on the last at-bat when freshman second baseman/shortstop
Jenna Witt doubled home Beatty and Lewis to give CU a thrilling 8-7 come-from-behind win.Â
The win was Concord's fourth when trailing in the fifth inning or later this season.Â
The walk-off hit was Beatty's second walk-off hit this season, with the other being a home run to defeat West Chester in Clermont, Florida on March 13.Â
In game two, Beatty was a double away from hitting for the cycle.Â
Beatty currently ranks second among Mountain East Conference performers in RBI with 24.
The sophomore from Roanoke, Virginia has already surpassed the number of hits and RBI this season that she accumulated in her freshman season in 13 less games played.
Fitzpatrick picked up two wins in the series vs. West Virginia State, notching three hitless innings in relief in game one and picking up the win in extra innings in relief for freshman pitcher/first baseman

The Mountain Lions improve to 7-5 in games decided by two runs or less this season with the two one-run victories.Â
The Mountain Lions used another walk-off finish to beat the Pioneers last season, with Concord once again scoring critical runs with its back against the wall.Â
CU trailed by two, 3-1, in the bottom of the seventh against the Pioneers in game two of the series last season.Â
A two-run double from Lewis in the inning helped Concord take the win in the bottom of the seventh.
Junior catcher
Nicole Neri lead off the inning with a double and scored the other run on a single by
Katie Allen.Â
Lewis has posted 13 RBI in her last six games against the Pioneers. Â
The Mountain Lions gave the Bobcats just their third loss of the season through their first 24 games in 2016 after falling behind 4-0 in the first inning.Â
CU scored two runs each in the fourth and the fifth before Furr singled home junior third baseman
Alycea Watson for the winning run in the sixth inning.Â

SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
The Bobcats are batting .338 as a team, led by junior Morgan Bruce and senior Tori Pogue, who are batting .472 and .441 this season, respectively.Â
WVWC has seven players who have 14 or more hits.Â
The Bobcats have been excellent pitching as well, led by junior Hannah Vet, who has a 0.47 ERA and a 6-0 record. Alyssa Shawgo and Sayaka Foley have picked up three and four wins in the circle, respectively.

SCOUTING GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers are 7-13 this season, going 2-2 in Mountain East Conference play so far.Â
The Pioneers are led by Paranda Uber, who is hitting .375 this season. Ally Brown is hitting .373, starting 19 of 20 games for GSC this season.Â
Brown has been the Pioneers main pitcher in the circle, compiling a 3-8 record in 11 starts this season.Â
