Mountain Lion Notes
Concord finished the Lenoir-Rhyne Bear Bash with a 2-2 record, defeating Johnson C. Smith and Mercyhurst and falling to Lenoir-Rhyne and Lees-McRae.

Senior shortstop Alayna Furr, senior outfielder Lauren Lewis and junior third baseman Alycea Watson are the only Concord players who have played and started in all six games so far this season.

Furr has batted .400 so far this season, notching eight hits in her first 20 at-bats.

The Lovettsville, Virginia native has started strong for the second consecutive year through the first six games.

Furr managed nine hits through the opening six contests last season.

Furr posted two hits against Kutztown during the 2015 season in Concord's 5-2 loss to the Bears.

Senior pitcher Allie Reid has accumulated six hits so far this season, including a double and a multi-hit game in Concord's 9-0 win against Johnson C. Smith.

Also tallying multiple-hit games at the Bear Bash were Furr and sophomore outfielder Lindsey Stahl.

In Concord's 5-2 win over Mercyhurst, Lauren Lewis notched two RBI for Concord's only multiple-RBI game of the tournament.

Reid picked up her second win of the season in that game, compiling back-to-back complete game wins to open her senior season in the Maroon and Gray.

Freshman pitcher Darby Fitzpatrick picked up her first career win for Concord against Johnson C. Smith, allowing five hits over five innings to shutout the Golden Bulls.

Concord has committed just one error in six games this season.

CU has never faced Lock Haven, Molloy, Le Moyne, or Wilmington.

The Mountain Lions haven't played a game in South Carolina since a February 21 doubleheader at USC-Aiken in 2015 in which they dropped both contests.

However, the Mountain Lions have had success farther north, posting a 28-11 record in games played in North Carolina since 2014, including a 2-2 record at the Bear Bash this season.

The Mountain Lions will return to North Carolina once more this season in a doubleheader at Winston-Salem State on February 28.

Concord's first three opponents all hail from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Concord has compiled a 10-7 record against PSAC opponents since 2014, and has also won four out of the last seven matchups against PSAC institutions.

The Mountain Lions have already taken down one PSAC opponent, Mercyhurst, in 2017.
