ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University men's basketball team concludes a brief two-game homestand when it welcomes Glenville State to the Carter Center 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night for a Mountain East Conference contest.

RECORDS
Concord lifted its record to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the league with a 96-87 win over West Virginia State.
Glenville State is still seeking its first win of the season as the Pioneers are 0-7 and 0-4 against MEC teams.
PARTY OF ONE
Junior guard
Tommy Bolte tied the single-game high in Division II in 2017-18 by scoring 46 points in the win over West Virginia State.
The outburst was Bolte's third 40-point game of the season.
No other player in the nation has more than one 40-point game in 2017-18, and only Minot State' Tyler Rudolph has two games of 35 or more points this season.
In his 46-point performance, Bolte was 14-for-20 from the field and 16-of-20 at the free-throw line.
Bolte elevated his season shooting percentage to 63.6 percent (70-for-110).
The Chillicothe, Ohio native is averaging 1.14 points per minutes this season (188 points in 164 minutes).
Bolte is the first CU player to make 15 foul shots in a single game since Michael Sanchez accomplished the feat to open the 2015-16 season against Winston-Salem State.
VARIETY OF OPTIONS
Freshman forward
Trey Shuff came off the bench to score a career-best 14 points on 5-for-7 against West Virginia State.
Shuff becomes the eighth different Concord player to notch at least 10 points this season.
Shuff became the fourth player in the last three games to net their first career double-digit scoring game, joining freshman forward
Antonio Patterson (at Charleston), freshman guard
Darian Peterson (vs. Alderson-Broaddus) and freshman forward
Jyles Webster (vs. Alderson-Broaddus).
Bolte, sophomore forward
Trey Brisco, senior guard
B.J. Hamlet and freshman guard
Malik Johnson have all scored 10 points at least once this season.
PAINTING THE SCOREBOARD
Concord went over 40 points in the paint for the second time this season as scored 46 in the lane against West Virginia State.
CU recorded 42 points in the paint to open the season versus Fayetteville State.
The 46 paint points were the most since the regular season finale in 2016-17 when it also had 46 points in the paint at UVa.-Wise.
Bolte delivered 18 points in the paint with Shuff adding 10 of his 14 points in the paint.
Overall, nine different Mountain Lions had at least one bucket in the lane, and Patterson and Webster along with Bolte and Shuff had two or more field goals in the paint.
DOWN TO THE WIRE
In the last six matchups between Concord and Glenville State, five games have been decided by three possessions or less including both games last season.
In early December of last season, GSC won a 94-90 decision at the Carter Center.
The Mountain Lions returned the favor on the road as they won 74-71.
The only contest of the last six to not be decided by eight points or less in the last three seasons was the first meeting during the 2015-16 season when CU won 103-79.
Of the last six games between the two schools, each team has won three times.
STOPPING THE TRIPLE
Entering play Tuesday, Concord leads the MEC in three-point field goal defense, allowing the opposition to shoot just 32.5 percent from beyond the arc.
The only three teams to shoot 35 percent or better from three-point range against the Mountain Lions this season are Fayetteville State, Bluefield State and Urbana.
Furthermore, CU is third in fewest allowed three pointers this season with 52.
The only two teams to make eight or more three pointers versus the Maroon and Gray in 2017-18 are Urbana (12) and Bluefield State (8).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
