RECORDS
Concord is 3-3 overall and 1-1 against MEC foes this season.

Charleston is 4-2 and has also split its two conference games.

Meanwhile, WVSU is 4-2 overall and is undefeated in league play at 2-0.

INSTANT IMPACT
In CU's 72-69 loss against Alderson-Broaddus, Concord top two scorers came off the bench as freshman guard Darian Peterson tallied a career-high 18 points while freshman forward Jyles Webster scored in double figures for the first time in his career, recording 10 points.

In all six games this season, the Mountain Lions' bench has been pivotal, scoring at least 10 points in five of six games.

The 40 points Concord received from its bench was the most since December 14 of last year when the CU bench combined to score 44 points in a home 90-53 win over Bluefield State.

Of the 79.3 points Concord is averaging on a nightly basis, 23.9 percent of the scoring is coming from the bench.

By Peterson and Webster both hitting double figures, it was the first time two players off the CU bench scored at least 10 points in the same game since last November in a home win over West Virginia State.

Junior guard Tommy Bolte was part of the duo as he scored 11 points.

SECOND HELPING
In the game against A-B, Concord dominated second-chance scoring 24-4.

The Mountain Lions had not had that many points come off second chances since the 2012-13 season when it tallied 28 points against West Virginia Tech.

Peterson led the way for the Mountain Lions with six points off offensive rebounds, Webster and freshman guard Malik Johnson each contributed four points.

CU supplied itself with plenty of chances as it collected 19 offensive rebounds, the most since last year at home against Bluefield State.

ROLE REVERSAL
Against Alderson-Broaddus, sophomore forward Trey Brisco recorded a career-best five assists.

Meanwhile, freshman guard Trey Radcliffe tied for the team high in rebounds with six.

Brisco also had six rebounds in the contest.

It was the second time in the last three games that Radcliffe has tied for the team single-game high in rebounds after he collected five at Notre Dame.

In fact dating back to last season, a CU guard has either tied or held the outright advantage for single-game rebounding in seven of the last 12 games.

However, the last time a Concord forward led the team in assists for a single game was during the 2013-14 season when A.J. Williams dished out seven assists at West Liberty.

AMONG THE BEST
Senior guard B.J. Hamlet has made 21 three-pointers this season which ranks in the top 30 among all Division II players this season.

It also place Hamlet in a tie for second in the MEC in made three-pointers with UVa.-Wise's Taiwo Badmus and Notre Dame's KT Taylor.

Hamlet is one of six players in the MEC that has made at least 20 three-pointers this season and is also shooting at least 40 percent from beyond the arc.

STOPPING THE THREE BALL
The Mountain Lions have done a stellar job of limiting their opponents from three-point range.

In the MEC, 638 three-pointers have been made this season or about 9.5 per game per team.

However, Concord is giving up just over six three-pointers per game and is allowing the opponent to shoot 34.8 percent from three-point range, second in the MEC behind Wheeling Jesuit.

Only WJU, West Liberty and Fairmont State have allowed fewer three-pointers this season than CU's 40.

KANAWHA VALLEY VICTORIES
Concord will be going for its second straight victory over Charleston when the two teams meet Wednesday.

The Mountain Lions won an 89-66 decision at the Carter Center to close last season after UC won 91-80 at its temporary home, Charleston Catholic High School, last season.

Though Charleston does own a distinct advantage in the all-time series, CU has won each of the last two games at the Carter Center.

Last season, Hamlet averaged 12.5 points against the Golden Eagles and has scored in double digits in each of the last three games versus Charleston.

In two games last season, Concord shot 49.6 percent (63-for-127) from the floor. Meanwhile, a narrow 90-88 road loss against West Virginia State snapped a six-game winning streak versus WVSU.

In those six victories, Concord won by an average of 14.8 points, and just one was decided by less than 10 points.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
3.5- Average number of three-poiners made by Hamlet per game.

12.3- Average turnovers by Concord per game, fewest in the MEC.

85.7- Free-throw percentage by Webster, ranking fifth in the MEC.

CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
The Golden Eagles are one bucket away from being 2-0 in MEC play.

In UC's conference opener Fairmont State's Andrew Emrick hit a shot in overtime to down UC 105-104.

University of Maine transfer Austin Howard leads Charleston in scoring at 17.4 points per game, but Keir Anderson (16.8), Lamont McManus (11.2) and Shaq Speights (11.0) are also in double figures.

McManus and CU's Peterson were teammates at Fork Union last season.

McManus is the leading rebounding for UC (7.0 rebounds per game).

WEST VIRGINIA STATE AT A GLANCE
At 4-2, the Yellow Jackets are off to their best start since the 2010-11 season when they went 20-10.

Bryan Poore, the most-tenured head coach, in the MEC recently picked up his 300th career win at West Virginia State.

Ernest Jenkins is shooting 43.5 percent from three-point range, but only 41.1 percent from floor.

Jenkins leads WVSU in scoring at 17.0 points per game.

Pat Johnson-Agwu is averaging near a double-double with 16.8 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per contest.
