Fairmont State is ranked second in the nation at 18-0 overall and 12-0 in the league.
The Rams have compiled an 11-7 mark overall and 8-4 against MEC foes.
ROAD SCORING
Sophomore guard
Tommy Bolte posted his first career 20-point game by pouring in 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting at West Virginia State Saturday.
The Chillicothe, Ohio native set career bests in field goal made (eight) and three-point field goals made (three).
Bolte's previous career high in points came in the season's second game versus Winston-Salem State when he scored 15.
It was the 10th time this season CU has gotten a 20-point performance from a player.
Senior guard
Aaron Miller has accomplished the feat seven times including a 22-point effort at WVSU.
Additionally, senior forward
Stephen Thompson has scored 20 two times.
Of the 20-point performances, only one of them had come away from the Carter Center--Miller's 22-point outing at Charleston--prior to Saturday's scoring output from Bolte and Miller.
CAREER MARKS
At home against UVa.-Wise, Miller went over 1,500 points in his career and now has 1,533 for his career.
Entering the weekend, Miller is six assists away from 150 for his time in a CU uniform.
When hitting 150 assists, Miller will become the fifth player in program history with at least 1,500 points, 300 rebounds, 150 assists and 75 steals at Concord.
The other four are Concord Hall of Famers: Brian Atkins, Julius Lockett, Todd Lusk and Tracy Poindextor.
On Saturday, junior guard
B.J. Hamlet canned his 100th three-pointer to become the 21st player in CU history to amass triple-digit makes from three-point range.
Hamlet can move into the top 20 with two makes from beyond the arc.
Senior guard
Michael Sanchez is also nearing the 100 career made-three pointers mark. The Salinas, Puerto Rico has 87 career made three-pointers.
BLOCK PARTY
The Mountain Lions turned away six shots at West Virginia State Saturday.
It was the first time since facing West Liberty in the MEC Tournament in 2016 that Concord had five or more blocks in a contest.
Miller spearheaded the block effort at WVSU with a career-high four blocks.
It was only the second time this season that a Concord player had multiple blocks in a game.
Thompson swatted three shots in a November road win at Bluefield State.
Despite blocking just 35 shots this season, the Mountain Lions have at least one block in 13 straight games and have a block in 17 of 18 games in 2016-17.
SECOND TIME THROUGH
Since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, the Mountain Lions lost eight games the first time through the double round-robin Mountain East Conference schedule.
Of those eight times, CU has bounced back by beating its foes four times the second time through the schedule.
The instances were against Charleston and Notre Dame during the 2014-15 season and last season against Shepherd and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Specifically against SU, the Rams won 90-83 at home to start the 2016 calendar year before Concord won a 79-66 decision at the Carter Center.
Earlier in the month, Shepherd beat the Maroon and Gray 87-74 in Athens.
BOARD BATTLE
When Concord and FSU met earlier this season at the Carter Center, Fairmont State came away with a 99-81 win.
The Mountain Lions owned a 42-32 advantage in rebounds, but Fairmont State shot 55.9 percent from the field.
Freshman forward
Patrick Eugene pulled down 11 rebounds to help CU win the rebounding battle while Miller grabbed a season-high six rebounds.
It was only the second time the Mountain Lions have lost this season when winning the rebounding margin. They are 4-2 in such games.
Just like the first game this season, Fairmont State enters the matchup with one of the best rebounding margins in the league (+3.5).
FSU also rebounds 36.4 percent of its misses on the offensive end, best in the conference.
The first time this season Concord limited the Fighting Falcons to 10 offensive rebounds, three below their season average.
CU also owned a 19-10 edge on the offensive glass.

Since coming to the Carter Center, FSU has won by an average margin of 21.8 points per game in six games to remain as the second-ranked team in the nation.
