WHEELING, W.Va. -Â The Concord University women's basketball team fell 92-61 on the road at Wheeling Jesuit in Mountain East Conference action on Saturday afternoon inside the McDonough Center.Â

Concord falls to 2-11, (1-7 MEC), while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 13-2 with an 8-1 mark in MEC play.Â

A 14-2 run by the Cardinals to open the game helped WJU take control of the tempo early on before a Concord timeout. WJU continued the momentum out of the timeout to take a 25-4 lead with 3:38 left in the first quarter before junior guard
Danielle Catron made a jump shot to stop the run for the Cardinals.Â

WJU took a 54-33 lead into halftime.Â

The Cardinals eventually earned a 92-61 win after controlling much of the second half.Â
Catron finished with a game-high 21 points, continuing her scoring streak just one game after she scored 22 points off of the bench against Urbana. Senior guard
