MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord comes into play this weekend with a 2-2 mark on the season after splitting four matches at the Raider Classic in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Bluefield College is 5-4 on the season. Gannon and IUP are both undefeated on the season at 4-0 and 5-0, respectively.

Mercyhurst is 3-1 while Edinboro is still looking for its first win at 0-4.

The Mountain Lions are ahead of last year's win pace after not winning their second match of the season until September 26.

Sophomore middle hitter Brooke Heck paced the Concord offense by recording 38 kills and hitting .315 over the weekend.

Junior setter Casey Mandeville recorded 79 assists in four matches including a 27-assist performance in a five-set win over Southern New Hampshire.

The outing over the weekend pushed Mandeville over 900 assists for her career and also into eighth on the all-time list at Concord as she passed Amanda Walker.

With 41 more assists this weekend, Mandeville can become the seventh different Concord player to surpass 1,000 assists in her career and move past Lauren Addington in the process.

Junior middle hitter Shea Hoffman just missed a double-double over the weekend in the victory against Southern New Hampshire as she tallied nine kills and 11 blocks, but she became the first Mountain Lions player to record double-digit blocks in a match since Jasmin Sutherland in 2013.

After sitting out last year with injury, redshirt freshman outside hitter Ellie Lawrence registered 22 kills and 29 digs in four matches as she just missed a double-double (eight kills, 12 digs) against SNHU.

Sophomore libero Erin Shannon notched 87 digs over the weekend including a 33-dig effort versus Southern New Hampshire. Shannon returned against Seton Hill with 21 digs.

Going back to last year, the Frankfort, Illinois native has tallied 20 or more digs in five of seven matches.

The Mountain Lions lost a five-set thriller to Bluefield College last year at home as the match was decided by a combined 13 points.

Heck had 20 kills in the match which was her previous career-high before her 21 kills against Southern New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, junior middle hitter Alexis Elliott and sophomore outside hitter Alexi Pranckus both had double-doubles in the match as Elliott notched 16 kills and 14 digs while Pranckus had 11 kills and 15 digs.

Even though Edinboro Is 0-4 on the season, two of the four losses have come to top 25 teams in Nebraska-Kearney and Colorado Mines.

Mercyhurst has also already played two, five-set matches this season, winning both against Ohio Dominican and Southern Wesleyan.
