CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team fell in its Mountain East Conference opener Friday night to the University of Charleston.
The Mountain Lions (4-8, 0-1 MEC) fell in straight sets, 17-25, 17-26, 24-26 to Charleston (7-7, 1-0 MEC).
Sophomore middle hitter
Brooke Heck led the way for Concord with seven kills. Fellow sophomore middle hitter
Lindsay Lannen provided four kills for the Mountain Lions.
Freshman setter
Jenna Mounts compiled a team-best 11 assists while sophomore libero
Erin Shannon tallied 12 digs.
CU stays in the Kanawha Valley for its next game, a conference match in Institute, West Virginia against West Virginia State 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
