ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team lost 2-0 to visiting West Virginia Wesleyan Sunday afternoon in Mountain East Conference play at Anderson Field.
The Bobcats (4-0-2, 3-0-2 MEC) scored one goal in each half to get past Concord (3-2-1, 3-1-1 MEC).

Emily Simpkins made three of her four saves for the game to keep WVWC off the board.
In the 40
th minute, a foul in the penalty area allowed the Bobcats to convert a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead on Concord. Seven minutes into the second half, West Virginia Wesleyan netted its second goal of the game to grab a 2-0 edge.

Emily Cole tallied Concord's lone shot of the day, a header that went wide left of the mark.
West Virginia Wesleyan outshot Concord 11-1 and also owned an advantage in corner kicks, 7-3.
The Mountain Lions continue their two-game home stand with a conference clash against the University of Charleston 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Field.
