Box Score 2 ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball took two games from West Liberty by scores of 5-4 and 10-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Anderson Field.
CU improves to 5-8 on the season while WLU falls to 6-3.
Game 1: Concord 5 – West Liberty 4The Mountain Lions jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the game and staved off a late rally by the Hilltoppers to win game one.

Chad Frazier and senior outfielder
Andrew Seigel recorded RBI singles in the bottom of the second inning to give the Mountain Lions a 2-0 advantage after two innings played.
CU added three runs in the next two innings while the Hilltoppers scored a run as Concord held a 5-1 lead heading to the fifth inning.
However, WLU closed the gap quickly before freshman pitcher
Reed McNeer came in late to finish the game and earn his first career save.
Senior pitcher
Chris Kelly recorded his third straight win to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Game 2: Concord 10 – West Liberty 1Concord turned a 5-0 lead into a 10-1 win after scoring five runs over the final two innings to secure a two-game series win over WLU.

Brad Sullivan in the first and a two-run double from senior infielder
Holt Cassada in the third aided Concord to a 5-0 lead after three innings.
The Hilltoppers answered with a run-scoring single in the fourth before the Concord bats got going in the fifth and sixth.
Frazer came through with a two-RBI single in the fifth while Seigel added a sacrifice fly that scored Frazier. In the sixth, sophomore catcher

Jordan Clark. Seigel capped the inning by drawing a bases-loaded walk.
Sophomore pitcher Damn Frazier (2-2) evened his record by having his best start as a Mountain Lion. D. Frazier went all seven innings by scattering five hits and allowing just one run while striking out three batters.
Sullivan (three hits) and Seigel (two hits) had multi-hit games for Concord.
CU hosts Lenoir-Rhyne 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Epling Stadium in Beckley, West Virginia for a doubleheader.
