MOUNTAIN LION NOTESThe Mountain Lions are 3-8 this season while WLU is 6-1.
CU will play West Liberty in four straight games over a seven-day stretch.
Saturday's games will be counted as non-conference affairs while the two teams will square off Saturday, March 19 in the conference opener for both teams at Concord.
Last season, the Mountain Lions dropped three of four games to the Hilltoppers on the road.
The lone CU win was an 8-3 win in game two of the series. In the win, sophomore outfielder
Andy Szamski was for 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI while sophomore pitcher
Damon Frazier was for 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Reece Edwards recorded the final four outs of the game to pick up a save.
Even though he finished the game with a no-decision, senior pitcher
Chris Kelly put together a stellar outing two seasons at home against the Hilltoppers by going 6.1 innings while scattering five hits and giving up one earned run.
Last weekend against Winston-Salem State, CU's offense was led by senior outfielder
Brad Sullivan and senior outfielder
Andrew Seigel.
The duo each went 2-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored in both games one and two of the series.
In a 5-3 game one win for the Mountain Lions against WSSU, five different players recorded RBI in the way of senior infielder
Holt Cassada, Seigel, freshman infielder
Brett Simmons, Sullivan and sophomore catcher
Paul Williams.
In game three of the series, sophomore infielder
Chad Frazier, Szamski, redshirt freshman infielder
Trevor Wiersma and Williams all had two hits games.
Through 11 games, Seigel has 19 hits and will carry a seven-game hitting streak into the weekend. At his current pace, the Ashburn, Virginia native will finish with over 80 hits on the season.
Only two other players have 80 or more in a season in Concord history. The other two are Donovan Huffer (80 hits, 2008) and Keith Morrisroe (81 hits, 2008).
SCOUTING WEST LIBERTYThe Hilltoppers are coming off a doubleheader road sweep of Charleston Thursday as they downed UC 11-5 and 8-1.
DJ Busby has led the offense going 12-for-29 (.414) to start the season while Jordan Meyer has nine RBI.
Greg Stagani has pitched 15.0 innings this season, giving up three earned runs and logging 23 strikeouts.
