ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team was defeated by Notre Dame College Wednesday afternoon in Mountain East Conference play at Anderson Field.
The Falcons (13-1-2) got a goal in the 58
th minute from Megan O'Conner for the game's only goal as NDC won 1-0.
The first half only featured four shots in total with none on target. Junior midfielder
Micharae Thompson provided the lone shot for CU (3-10-4, 3-9-4 MEC).

Megan Walsh put a shot on goal six minutes into the second half, but her effort was saved by NDC's Sam Shoemaker. After consecutive saves by sophomore goalkeeper
Emily Simpkins in the 57
th minute, the Falcons scored on a goal from the left side of the penalty area that bounced back to the right post for the score.

Pilar Elias and junior defender
Sarah Akers each had a shot for CU in the final 30 minutes of the contest, but could not even the game.
Simpkins made fives in goal for Concord while Walsh had the lone shot on target for the Maroon and Gray.
NDC had a 9-4 edge in total shots and notched five corner kicks.
The Mountain Lions conclude the regular season 1:00 p.m. Saturday versus West Liberty. Prior to the game, six seniors, defender
