WHEELING, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team fell to Wheeling Jesuit 2-0 in Mountain East Conference play Thursday night in Mountain East Conference play.
WJU (4-8-1, 3-7-1 MEC) scored a goal in the 15
th minute and then added to its lead in the 48
th minute.
After the Cardinals went up two goals in the second half, Concord (3-7-3, 3-6-3 MEC)  put five shots on goal but all of them were turned away from Wheeling Jesuit goalkeeper Hannah Thompson.

Pilar Elias and freshman forward 
Megan Walsh each had two shots on goals on for CU while senior defender 
Kiana Brown, freshman midfielder 
Karley Poff, senior midfielder 
Margot Provencher and junior midfielder 
Micharae Thompson each tallied one shot on target for Concord.
Sophomore goalkeeper 
Emily Simpkins made five saves for the Mountain Lions while fellow sophomore 
Kaylee Taylor made one stop in the final 16 minutes of the contest.
CU returns home for a 1:00 p.m. Sunday matchup with Fairmont State.
