SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Concord University women's basketball erased a 13-point halftime deficit to trail by only two points after three quarters, but the rally fell short as CU lost 86-74 to Notre Dame Sunday afternoon in Mountain East Conference action at Murphy Gymnasium.
Falling in a 16-7 first quarter hole to NDC (7-6, 4-3 MEC), the Mountain Lions (3-9, 2-5 MEC) found their offensive rhythm in quarters two and three, scoring 54 points combined.
At halftime, the Mountain Lions trailed 41-28.

Kylie Molisee combined for all 12 points with Molisee netting six during the run.
Down 54-46 with 4:32 left in the third quarter, Concord finished the third period on a 15-9 run to close the gap to 63-61 heading to the fourth. During the run, sophomore guard
Danielle Catron scored seven of her career-high 28 points.
NDC opened up the fourth quarter on an 11-4 run to grab a 74-65 lead as CU's furious comeback fell a step short. The Falcons would hold on to a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the game, winning by 12 points.

Kylie Molisee just missed a double-double by scoring 16 points and collecting nine rebounds.
Morgan also fell short of her first double-double of the season as she scored 10 points and tied her season-high with eight assists.
The 74 points the Mountain Lions posted on Sunday was the third-most this season.
The 50.8 percent Concord shot at Notre Dame was the highest shooting percentage for CU this season. The nine three-pointers the Maroon and Gray connected on was also a season-best. Catron and Morgan combined to go 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.
CU plays at Urbana 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
