CANTON, Ohio – The Concord University volleyball dropped a pair of matches at the Hall of Fame City Challenge Friday.
Match 1: Edinbor 3 – Concord 0CU fell to the Fighting Scots 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.
The Mountain Lions trailed by just one point 6-5 in the first set before EU rattled off 13-7 run to seize control of the set. The second set was much like the first in the fact that CU and Edinboro was tied at 15 before the Fighting Scots took 10 of the game's next 12 points to win.
Edinboro jumped out 11-5 on Concord in the third and final set to sweep the Mountain Lions.

Shea Hoffman each had four kills for CU while freshman setting
Jayden Jacobs added 10 assists and seven digs.

Erin Shannon also had two service aces for the Maroon and Gray.
Match 2: Northwest Missouri State 3 – Concord 0The Mountain Lions were swept 25-13, 25-12, 25-13 by NW Missouri State.
Freshman outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus recorded a team-high six kills while sophomore outside hitter
Lisette Roldan notched four kills of her own. Meanwhile, Jacobs tallied double-digit assists by dishing out 11 helpers.
Concord returns to action 11:30 a.m. Saturday against Urbana before closing out its time at the HOF City Challenge at 4:30 p.m. Saturday versus host Malone.
