BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Concord University volleyball team lost a pair of non-conference matches at the King University Triangular Tuesday night.
CU (2-16, 1-1 MEC) fell in three sets (20-25, 20-25, 18-25) to Milligan before losing the nightcap to the hosts in three games (16-25, 15-25, 14-25).
Against Milligan, freshman outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus finished with a team-high nine kills and 11 digs, finishing just one kill shy of her fourth double-double of the season. Pranckus also added two blocks versus Milligan.
Freshman middle hitter
Brooke Heck added seven kills and two blocks while freshman setter
Jayden Jacobs added a team-high 16 assists in the match.
Pranckus also led the Mountain Lions in kills with four against King. Heck and freshman libero
Erin Shannon each eight digs against the Tornado.
Concord takes on nationally-ranked Wheeling Jesuit 5:00 p.m. Thursday on the road.
