RECORDS• Concord begins the weekend in third place in the Mountain East Conference with a mark of 20-10 overall and 16-8 in the league.

• Wheeling Jesuit has compiled an overall mark of 8-15 and is 7-11 against conference foes.
THE COACHES•
Andrew Wright is 147-99 in his fifth season at Concord.
• WJU's Terry Edwards is 136-275-2 in 10 seasons.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord is 5-1 in its last six games after completing a doubleheader sweep of Davis & Elkins by scores of 9-3 and 10-1.
• Senior
Bryant Pybus earned his second career complete game win as he allowed three earned runs in game one while striking out a personal-best five batters.
• Pybus improved to 3-0 this season and lowered his ERA to 4.18.
• Freshman outfielder
Andy Szamski led the Mountain Lions' offense as he drove in four or more runs for the second time this season with a four-RBI performance in game one versus D&E.
• Szamski has a team-high 41 RBI this season while posting a batting average of .360.
• In a rain-shortened 10-1 win over Davis & Elkins, senior outfielder
Jerrod Groves tallied a three-RBI game for the third time this season as he went 1-for-1 with one run scored and three RBI.
• Junior outfielder
Andrew Seigel kept his 10-game hitting streak alive by going 1-for-3 in game one and 2-for-2 in the nightcap.
• This season, Seigel leads Concord in hits (40), batting average (.400) and stolen bases (14).
• If Seigel keeps his batting average at .400 or better for the remainder of the season, it would be the second consecutive year that CU has had a player hit .400 after former Concord All-American
Bret Blevins batted .418 last season.
• Seigel is also looking up at Blevins in career stolen bases record as the Ashburn, Virginia native needs 24 stolen bases to catch Blevins. Seigel moved passed Keith Morrisroe for second on the all-time list with two stolen bases against D&E.
• In game one versus the Senators, redshirt freshman catcher
Paul Williams had his second three-hit game of the season as he also knocked in two runs.
• Over the last four games in which Williams has appeared in, the Vinton, Virginia native is 8-for-15 as he has raised his average from .279 to .357.
• Last season Concord outscored 27-1 WU as the Mountain Lions swept a four-game set on the road.
• Junior pitcher
Chris Kelly pitched a two-hit complete game shutout, striking out six batters in completely silencing the Cardinals' offense.
• Sophomore pitcher
Zach Kelly tossed five shutout innings against Wheeling Jesuit as he allowed three hits and struck out four in his outing.
• Concord leads the all-time series against Wheeling Jesuit 10-1.
SCOUTING WHEELING JESUIT• Over its last five games WJU has alternated wins and losses and most recently split a four-game series with Notre Dame College as it earned victories 2-1 and 6-5.
• Wheeling Jesuit pitcher Joe San Felippo has recorded an ERA of 3.33 in 27 innings of work.
• San Felippo has also hit one home run and knocked a team-high 17 runs in 23 games.
