Complete Game NotesATHENS, W.Va. - By defeating UVa.-Wise 65-48 on Saturday, the Concord Univeristy women's basketball earned a first round Mountain East Conference Tournament home game 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Carter Center.

RECORDS• CU is 8-20 overall this season with a mark of 8-14 in the MEC.
• UVa.-Wise has an identical conference mark while it sports a 9-19 overall record.
THE COACHES• Concord's
Kenny Osborne has compiled a 208-216 record in 15 seasons at Concord.
• Kristin Kunzman has put together a mark of 34-69 in three seasons at UVa.-Wise.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• When the Mountain Lions and Cavaliers squared off on Saturday at UVa.-Wise, the winner got the right to host the other in the 8-9 matchup in the MEC Tournament.
• After leading by two points at halftime against UVa.-Wise, junior forward
Kylie Molisee and senior guard
Melea Smith combined for 20 of CU's 28 second-half points as Concord eased to a 17-point win.
• Tuesday night will be the first time Concord has hosted a first round conference tournament game since the 2011-2012 season when they downed Wheeling Jesuit 85-57.
• Senior forwards
Rachel Artrip and
Jacqueline Kestner are the only Mountain Lions to experience a home playoff game as both played against WJU in 2012.
Artrip contributed four points and six rebounds as a freshman in that particular contest.
• The Mountain Lions will be seeking to win their first postseason contest since the 2011-2012 season when they won two games before losing in the conference semifinals.
• In her last two playoff games, Kestner is averaging 11 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
• When Concord matches up against UVa.-Wise Tuesday, CU will be looking to beat the Cavaliers for a third time this season.
• By defeating UVa.-Wise, it would mark the first time since the 2011-2012 season, when they beat Charleston three times, that the Mountain Lions have beaten the same time three times in one season.
• CU has outscored the Cavaliers by 34 points in two games this season, a 57-40 win at home Jan. 22 and Saturday's 65-48 win.
• The Maroon and Gray has had not any other opponent under 50 points this season, but has managed to not allow 50 points to the Cavaliers.
• Concord has limited UVa.-Wise into 26.8 percent shooting including a 14-for-56 effort at the Carter Center earlier in the season.
• Kestner is averaging 11 rebounds versus UVa.-Wise this season as her 11 boards helped CU outrebound Wise 51-34 at home.
• Artrip also notched a career-high 14 rebounds versus the Cavaliers at home.
• In the scoring column, Molisee (14.5 points per game) and Smith (12 points per game) have had the most consistent scoring games against UVa.-Wise this season of all CU players.
• Not only has Concord locked down the Cavaliers as a team, but they have also shut down one of the best all-around scorers in the MEC.
• UVa.-Wise's Blair Harding is seventh in the league in scoring at 16.4 ppg, but has only scored 11 total points against the Mountain Lions as she has shot 3-for-22 against Concord this season.
• Two significant scoring runs helped the Mountain Lions in each win over UVa.-Wise this season.
• At home, CU opened up the game on a 22-2 run as the Cavaliers never threatened the Concord lead.
• Saturday on the road, the Mountain Lions used an 11-0 run early in the second half to a 34-34 tie and cruise past UVa.-Wise.
• Besides being the primary scorer for the Cavaliers, Harding also leads her team in assists per game (2.7), three-point shooting (33.9 percent / 75-for-221) and is second on the squad in rebounds per game (6.2).
• UVa.-Wise's Kayla Carey (11.8 ppg) and Taylor Sandidge (10.9 ppg) are the other two Cavaliers to average double figures in scoring this season.
• The Cavaliers will be seeking to win a road playoff game for the second consecutive year after they defeated Notre Dame 81-67 before falling to West Liberty in the quarterfinal round of the 2014 MEC Tournament.
• Speaking of West Liberty, the winner of Tuesday night's contest will get the top-seeded Hilltoppers in the second round of the conference basketball championship 6:00 p.m. Thursday night at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virignia.
• The Mountain Lions have won five of the six prior meetings between the two teams including all four matchups as MEC opponents.
• Concord has not trailed in 80 minutes of action versus UVa.-Wise this season.
