Live VideoATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team will open a four-game home stand Sunday at Anderson Field against Mountain East Conference foe Fairmont State 2:00 p.m. Sunday and 1:00 p.m. Monday.

RECORDS• Concord is 3-5 overall and 2-4 against conference competition.
• Fairmont State is 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the MEC.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord is coming off a split in a regional doubleheader against Winston-Salem State Wednesday on the road.
• Senior pitcher
Barinder Rakkar led CU to a 5-2 win in game one as he tossed five innings, allowing just one run on three hits in five innings of work.
• Redshirt freshman
Damon Frazier tossed two innings of relief to lockup Rakkar's win as Frazier also earned his first collegiate save in the process.
• Concord fell in game two 1-0 as sophomore
Nate Werner pitched his second consecutive quality start by going 6.2 innings and allowing just one run on five hits, but was the unfortunate loser.
• This season, Werner has tossed 13.2 innings and has registered an ERA of 1.98.
• One of the most impressive statistics for the Mountain Lions early this season has been the outstanding fielding as CU has committed two errors and sports a team fielding percentage of .991.
• Senior first baseman
Ryan Johnston and redshirt freshman infielder
Chad Frazier lead the way with 53 chances and 32 chances, respectively, without committing an error.
• Frazier also has 14 fielding assists from his second base position.
• The CU catching duo of junior
Charles Goss and redshirt freshman
Paul Williams has shut down the opponents' running game with teams only attempting four steals on Goss and Williams.
• The tandem has managed to allow two steals this season. Â

Andrew Seigel will enter the four-game series against the Fighting Falcons with four stolen bases in four attempts.
• Seigel has four of Concord's seven stolen bases this season and is also second on the team in batting average at .273.
• Junior shortstop
Brad Sullivan is the best hitter in the Mountain Lion lineup as he is hitting .304 through eight games this season.
• C. Frazier has strung together a streak of reaching base in five straight games.
• Last season, the Mountain Lions swept a four-game set against Fairmont State with a pair of one-run wins.

Chris Kelly hurled five innings as he earned a win against FSU last season by allowing three earned runs on six hits
