WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Concord University softball went 5-0 at the Shaw Challenge Sunday and Monday.
Concord won its final two games of the challenge early Monday morning.

Game 1: Concord 13 – Bowie State 2Sophomore first baseman / third baseman

Allie Reid and senior outfielder
Jessica Seymour all had two RBI in Concord's blowout win over the Bulldogs as 10 different Mountain Lions recorded hits in the win.
Sophomore pitcher / outfielder
Sarah Herndon, senior pitcher / first baseman
Lacey McDougall, junior second baseman / outfielder
Kristen Rose and senior outfielder
Jessica Seymour all had multi-hit contests.
Herndon and Reid each pitched three innings with Herndon picking up the win and Reid, the save. The duo combined to strike out seven batters.
Game 2: Concord 5 – Edinboro 0McDougall recorded her second shutout in as many days as she lowered her ERA to 1.58 on the way to picking up her fifth win of the season.
The Chesapeake, Virginia native tossed seven innings while allowing two hits and striking out three hitters.

Brantlea Wood drove in two runs in the win.
