• The four-year senior class has won 32 games which is the second-most over a four-year period since 2000.
• Only the senior class of 2014 which won 35 games has won more since the start of the century.
• Additionally, this year's senior class has compiled a home record 20-4 with three of those losses coming eventual conference champions.
• Of the 20 seniors, nine of them have been named to an all-conference team at least once and three, Ellington, Johnson and Jones have been named to all-region teams.Last time out, the Mountain Lions dropped a 30-25 decision at Glenville State as the Pioneers scored the go-ahead touchdown with 16 seconds remaining in the contest.
• Jones went over 100 rushing yards for the fifth straight game by running for 130 yards and his 13th touchdown of the season.
• Additionally, Jones secured his third consecutive season of 1,000 or more yards rushing.
• Jones now has 1,020 yards rushing, trailing Glenville State's Tevin Drake by one yard for the MEC lead.
• Dotson went over the 200-tackle milestone by collecting eight tackles on the afternoon and helping to cause two safeties for the Concord defense on the afternoon.
• The Pound, Virginia native now has 202 tackles for his career and can move into the top 10 by collecting eight more tackles versus WVSU.
• The 28 tackles Dotson has racked up over the last three games is the best three-game stretch of Dotson's career.
• Additionally, Moore also reached 200 tackles for his career by notching 10 tackles against the Pioneers.
• Moore also got his 20th career sack with a fourth-quarter takedown of GSC's Dante Roberts.
• Moore is just one of two Mountain Lions to tally 20 sacks in a career, and he also ranks in the top 20 nationally among active players in sacks.
• With two safeties, on back-to-back defensive possessions, Concord has caused four safeties this season.
• Also defensively for the Mountain Lions, sophomore defensive back
Chaudlier Shepherd intercepted two passes and broke up another four passes, setting single-game highs for his career in both statistical categories.
• Shepherd has a team-leading four interceptions this season, and has five for his career.
• Shepherd became the first Concord player to have a multi-interception game this season and is the first since Josh Clark in November 2013 versus UVa.-Wise.
• In Saturday's game, Henderson set season-highs in catches (six) and receiving yards (94).
• Martinez recorded seven tackles, matching his career high and over his last three games, the San Jose, California native has 19 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.
• Even though junior quarterback
Brian Novak didn't throw for a touchdown, he ran for his first rushing touchdown of the season versus GSC.
• Novak still needs four touchdowns to break the all-time passing touchdown record at Concord.
• Last season, Novak had a career-high five touchdown passes at West Virginia State as he threw as found Stewart for four touchdown and also connected with sophomore wide receiver
TJ Smith for a fifth score.
• Novak was also very efficient in his performance against the Yellow Jackets as he was 14-for-17 for 295 yards and five touchdowns.
• Hazzard collected a career-high 11 stops with a tackle for loss while Johnson had a then career-high nine tackles to go along with his first career interception at CU.
• Also picking off his career pass versus West Virginia State was sophomore defensive back
Jeremiah Johnson.
• In his last two games against West Virginia State, Henderson has nabbed eight catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns.
• Heading into Saturday's game, Novak needs 83 yards to tally 2,000 yards for the season.
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA STATE• A familiar face will be calling the offensive plays for West Virginia State.
• Former CU special teams coach and offensive position coach John Pennington took over as WVSU's offensive coordinator in January.
• The Yellow Jackets are averaging 32.6 points per game, fifth-best in the league.
• Yellow Jackets' quarterback Matt Kinnick leads the conference in passing yards (2,525) and is tied for second in touchdown passes (18).
• Kinnick's top target Quinton Gray has hauled in 708 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
• Defensively, Dennis Gardeck and Mitchell Rowell are tied for fifth in the MEC in tackles with 78 while Stevin Gomez is tied with Shepherd for the league lead in interceptions.
• Concord has won six straight games in the series dating back to 2008.
A CONCORD WIN WOULD...• A Concord win woud give CU a seventh straight win over WVSU.
• A Concord win would give the Mountain Lions 21 home wins over the last four years.
