WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team concluded its season with a 2-2 tie at West Liberty in Mountain East Conference action Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, the Hilltoppers (3-9-6, 3-7-6 MEC) got the game's first goal in the 52
nd minute. However, Concord (5-8-5, 4-8-4 MEC) answered with a strike form senior forward
Kari Simon in the 64
th minute.
Simon continued her scoring prowess with a goal in the 84
th minute to give the Mountain Lions the lead, but WLU quickly responded with a goal 80 seconds later to tie the match at 2-2.

Emily Simpkins made four of her career-high 14 saves in overtime to preserve the tie while the Mountain Lions could not fire a shot off in the extra session.
Both of Simon's goal were unassisted and with four points in Saturday's game, the Mineral Wells, West Virginia native finishes her career in a tie for fifth in career points at Concord with 79. Additionally, Simon also tied Annette Larsen for fifth in career goals scored at CU with 34.
