RECORDSConcord is 7-21 this season, but has a 5-5 Mountain East Conference mark, placing it in sixth place.
West Liberty is 12-15 overall and a half game behind CU in the standings with a 5-6 league record.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord is coming off a gut-wrenching five-set loss to Winston-Salem State Tuesday night in non-conference play.
• Sophomore middle hitter
Alexis Elliott tied her career-high in both kills (16) and digs (15).
• This season, Elliott is third on the team in kills (162) and second in blocks (47). Elliott also has 161 digs in 2015.
• Against Winston-Salem State, freshman middle hitter
Brooke Heck recorded 15 kills and also tied her career high with five blocks. In the process, Heck hit .478 for the match.
• Over her last 10 matches played, the Huntington, West Virginia native has hit over .400 in seven matches.
• Heck is third in the MEC in hitting percentage at .338 and is just one point behind Randi Estrada of the University of Charleston for second.
• Freshman setter
Jayden Jacobs is eighth in the league in service aces per set at .35 and has a total of 29 this season. Overall, Jacobs is for seventh in aces in the MEC.
• Also on the MEC leaderboard is freshman libero
Erin Shannon who has 329 digs, which is fourth in the league, and Shannon also ranks fifth in digs per set at 4.06.
• Concord dropped a match to the Hilltoppers at home last season in four sets.
• Sophomore middle hitter
Shea Hoffman had eight kills and four blocks. Sophomore setter
Casey Mandeville added 16 assists in the loss to West Liberty.
• In Tuesday's match, Concord notched a season-high 11 blocks. Besides Heck coming up with one solo block and four assist blocks, Hoffman and freshman middle hitter
Lindsay Lannen each had four assist blocks.
SCOUTING WEST LIBERTY• West Liberty ranks second in the conference in blocks with 266 blocks this season.
• Sydney Scherer and Michaela Hawkins lead the Hilltoppers in blocks with 94 and 74 blocks, respectively.
• WLU is coming off a three-set loss to Wheeling Jesuit Tuesday, but knocked off Shepherd in three sets prior to Tuesday.
