GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team picked up a Mountain East Conference road win Friday night versus Glenville State in straight sets at the Waco Center.
Concord improves to 7-19 overall and 5-4 in the MEC after defeating the Pioneers 25-14, 25-20, 25-16 while Glenville State is 1-21 and 0-9 in the league.
Freshman middle hitter
Brooke Heck recorded seven kills and a hitting percentage of .700 without any errors in 10 attempts. This season, Heck has recorded 20 kills in 29 attempts against the Pioneers.
The Huntington, West Virginia native also tied her career high with five blocks in the match.
Freshman outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus paced the Mountain Lions with a team-best nine kills. Sophomore setter
Casey Mandeville notched 18 assists while freshman setter
Jayden Jacobs fell just shy of a double-double with 17 assists and nine digs.
Freshman libero
Erin Shannon tallied a team-high 18 digs for CU.
The Mountain Lions are right back at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at West Virginia Wesleyan. Â
