Concord Takes 12th at Indiana Invite

INDIANA, Pa. – The Concord University men's golf team finished in a tie for 12th place at the IUP Golf Invitational at the Indiana Country Club after shooting a two-round score of 614.
 
Indiana (Pa.) won the event at 574 followed in the top-five by California (Pa.) (583), Adelphi (586), Millersville (589) and Charleston (590).
 
West Chester (592) St. Thomas Aquinas (594), Davis & Elkins (597), Mercyhurst (604), Clarion (611), Concordia (612), Fairmont State (614) and the Mountain Lions (614) made up the remainder of the event's top-12.
 
Concord was paced by senior Evan Muscari and freshman Brady Noland. Muscari ended the tournament in 10th place at +2 (144) and Noland recorded a +7 (149) in what was his lowest two-round score of the season.
 
Junior Patrik Leveau was CU's third finisher, coming in 34th place two shots back of Noland via a 36-hole mark of +9 (151). Freshmen Noah Sparks (+30 / 172) and Matthew Sydnor (+33 / 175) rounded out Concord's entries in 91st and 93rd place, respectively.
 
Ranked ninth in the latest NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, the Mountain Lions will now wait to see if they are selected to compete as a team in the NCAA Division II regional tournament.
