ATHENS, W. Va. – The Concord University men's basketball team will play its third game in five days Monday when it travels to Shepherdstown, W. Va. for 6:30 p.m. Mountain East Conference showdown against Shepherd University.

RECORDS
• Concord enters the game with an overall record of 5-9 and a MEC mark of 2-6. The Mountain Lions are coming off of a 71-66 loss at Fairmont State on Jan. 11.
• The Rams sit second in the conference standings at 11-3 overall and 6-2 in league play. Most recently, Shepherd defeated UVa.-Wise 88-76.
SCOUTING CONCORD
• Through 14 games this season, Concord is averaging 75.1 points per game (ppg) while allowing 78.9 ppg.
• The Mountain Lions are shooting 44.7 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from three-point range and 71.1 percent from the free throw line.
• Opponents are shooting 47.1 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from three-point territory and 66.7 percent from the foul line against Concord.
• Junior guard
Mike Boyd currently leads Concord in scoring (14.1 ppg), field goal percentage (53.4 percent), assists per game (4.1), steals (15) and minutes per game (33.1).
• Freshman guard
B.J. Hamlet and junior guard A.J. Williams also average at least 10 ppg for the Maroon and Gray at 12.8 and 10.7, respectively.
• Junior forward
Nick Moyer is Concord's leading rebounder having grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game to date.
• Sophomore forward
Terry Hopewell ranks among the MEC's best in blocks with 21 rejections.
• Sophomore guard
Cam Shannon is coming off of a career-high matching 18-point effort against Fairmont State.
• Freshman guard
Aaron Miller has made 9-of-11 three-pointers this season. Miller is averaging 11 ppg over his last three games played.
• Freshman forward
Grant Dickinson, who made his first start at Concord vs. Fairmont State, has matched his season-high in scoring with seven points in each of Concord's last two games. Dickinson also had a season-best six rebounds vs. FSU.
• The Mountain Lions have forced opponents into 14 or more turnovers nine times this season.
SCOUTING SHEPHERD
• Six players average at least 10 ppg for the Rams with Brantley Osborne leading the way at 20.8 ppg to go with team-highs of 43 made three-pointers and 27 steals.
• In addition to scoring 11.4 ppg, Morgan McDonald also leads Shepherd in rebounding (9.9 per game) and blocks (14).
• The Rams score 86.9 ppg with their opponents averaging 80.9 ppg. Shepherd also shoots 47 percent from the field while committing just 13 turnovers per game.

• Concord and Shepherd have split its last two games dating back to the 2011-12 season. The Mountain Lions maintain a 20-18 advantage in the all-time series.

• Current Mountain Lions Moyer and Shannon both grabbed four rebounds while scoring 14 and 11 points, respectively in the victory. Boyd passed out a game-best five assists as well.

Kent McBride is in his third season as the Mountain Lions' head coach. The Concord alum is 38-31 in his time in Athens.
• Justin Namolik is 64-77 in five seasons in charge of the Shepherd program.
