Charleston Season Stats
ATHENS, W. Va. - Winners of its last five WVIAC games, the Concord University baseball team will look to continue its conference winning streak when it hosts Charleston at Anderson Field for a three-game series this weekend beginning with a doubleheader 1:00 p.m. Saturday and concluding with a nine-inning game 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

Records
With 19 games remaining in the regular season, Concord is 17-14 overall and 12-5 in the WVIAC. The Mountain Lions are currently ranked third in the WVIAC-South behind WV Wesleyan and WV State.
Charleston, which is slotted fourth in the WVIAC-South, is 11-16 overall and 8-8 in the WVIAC.
The Series
Concord has won 24 of its last 33 games against Charleston dating back to the 2000-01 season. However, the Golden Eagles have defeated the Mountain Lions in six consecutive games over the last two seasons.
The Coaches
Andrew Wright is 70-67 with one WVIAC Championship in his three seasons at Concord. Lee Bradley, who is in his second season at Charleston, has a career record of 39-39.

Chris Baker made his first start of the season, allowing no runs and just one hit in three innings.
Scouting Concord
• Getting an early lead has proven critical to the Mountain Lions' success this season. Concord is 12-3 when leading after four innings, but 3-10 when trailing after four innings.
• Concord is also 11-5 when scoring first this year.
• CU has scored at least 10 runs in seven consecutive games, going 5-2 over the stretch.
• How good has the Concord offense been this season? CU entered the week ranked in the top-10 in the nation in seven offensive categories including runs (fourth), runs per game (fifth), on-base percentage (fifth), slugging percentage (sixth), home runs (eighth), home runs per game (eighth) and batting average (10th).
• Junior first baseman
Joey Miller is fourth in the nation in RBI (43) and seventh in home runs (nine). Miller is also batting .343 with eight doubles and a .667 slugging percentage.
• Accolades rolled in for Camp last week when he was recognized as the WVIAC Player of the Week and the NCBWA Atlantic Region Hitter of the Week.
• On the year, Camp is batting .575 with runners on base. Overall, Camp has drove in 21 runs to go with three home runs.
• Freshman outfielder
Andrew Seigel has improved his batting average by 66 points over the last seven games, going 14-for-25 to raise his average from .323 to .389.
• Seigel has also been a terror on the base paths with eight stolen bases over the same time frame to increase his season steals total to 16, just two off of junior
Bret Blevins' team-best 18 steals.
• In addition to leading the team in steals, Blevins, who is batting .351, has totaled a team-high in hits (40).
• Smith and sophomore
Ryan Johnston have both been swinging hot bats of late. In the last six games, Smith is 13-for-26 (.500) with 13 runs, nine RBI, four stolen bases and three doubles. Just as impressive has been Johnston's production of 11 runs, five RBI, one home run, two doubles and a .429 batting average (9-for-21).
• Senior
Jacob Mays' on-base percentage continues to soar. Mays, Concord's leader in runs scored with 36, has an OBP of .500, which is second on the team behind only Camp's on-base percentage of .513.
• Leading the pitching staff has been junior
Ryan Weatherholtz, Baker and sophomore
Kevin Mack.
• Weatherholtz is coming off of a dominating seven-strikeout, complete-game victory over A-B. Weatherholtz, who is 2-1 with a 3.62 ERA on the year, has allowed just two earned runs in his last two starts.
• Baker had a solid performance in his last start at King and is 4-0 on the year while opponents are hitting just .252 against Mack (2-0).

Austin Southcott has not allowed a run in his last four relief appearances
