Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright enters his fourth season at the helm of the Concord University Baseball program. In his tenure as head coach the Mountain Lions own a record of 89-73 and a conference record of 61-39; however, more impressive is their .909 winning percentage in conference postseason play (10-1).  In 2013, the Mountain Lions set school records for most conference wins in a season (26) and single season wins (36).

As a player, assistant coach and head coach, Wright has helped the Mountain Lions to a 248-167-1 record, reaching the WVIAC Tournament in each of his nine years with the program along with five WVIAC Title Games and three Championships.

Wright has a very simple message to his players and their families: graduate, compete for championships and give back to the community. Over the last three years, the Mountain Lion program has seen a steady improvement in team GPA, two WVIAC Championships and with the advent of the “1000 Hour Project,” the Mountain Lion program has legitimized their commitment to community service.

The Mountain Lions have also continued its offensive prominence within the WVIAC Conference.
