Wesleyan begins the week 3-5 overall and 0-2 in conference contests. Before hosting Concord, the Bobcats will play at UVa.-Wise on Thursday.
• The Mountain Lions are coming off of a 1-1 showing at the Currence Classic where they defeated Davis & Elkins (70-66) and a narrowly lost to Chowan, 76-74.
• Concord's win over D&E was highlighted by erasing a 15-point deficit to secure the win. Four players scored in double figures for CU against the Senators, including freshman guard
B.J. Hamlet, who had a team-high 15 points.
• Hamlet has made an immediate impression on offense for Concord. Since making his collegiate debut against Urbana on Nov. 25, Hamlet has averaged 15.3 points per game.
• It took sophomore forward
Terry Hopewell just seven games to surpass CU's leader in blocks from a year ago. Hopewell, the MEC's leader in blocks, has already swatted 13 shots; Concord's top shot blocker for all of 2012-13 had just 12.
• Hopewell needs 26 blocks through the rest of the year to match Concord's 2012-13 team total of 39 rejections.
• Junior point guard
Mike Boyd continues to lead the Mountain Lions in scoring and assists at 16.0 points per game (ppg) and 4.3 assists per game (apg).
• Boyd, who is shooting a team-high 52.3 percent from the field this season, has saved some of his best performances for the second half of games. In the final 20 minutes of contests this season, Boyd is averaging 8.4 points while shooting 57.6 percent from the field.
• Boyd needs 32 assists to reach 300 for his career.

• Concord's top lineup in terms of plus / minus, a team's point differential when a player(s) is on the floor compared with when he's not, has been that of Boyd, Shannon, Moyer, Hopewell and junior guard A.J. Williams.
• The five are +7 in 14:19 on the court together, the third longest time of any of CU's lineup combinations thus far.
• Concord currently ranks 14th in the nation in free throw shooting at 78.6 percent (123-for-159).
• That percentage shoots up to 88 percent (22-for-25) in the final three minutes of games.
• Nine different players have made at least 75 percent of their foul shots with freshman forward
Jalen Camper leading the way at a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.

Ali Barnes (seven games / 9.9 ppg) and Shannon (three games / 7.7 ppg).
• Head coach
Kent McBride, who has won 37 games in just over two seasons at CU, needs seven wins through the rest of the year to finish with the second most victories of any CU coach through their first three years. He currently trails
Steve Cox (70), Ira Blankenship (43) and Don Christie (40).
